Funny I was just in Hialeah over Christmas and I drove on most of the streets you had driven by. I lived in Hialeah for 1 year in 2011 and that was enough for me. I do like going back for the food 😃
Just Subbed, born & raised in Hialeah asere. A refuge to my family fleeing Cuba in the 80’s. Can’t imagine finding another place like it anywhere in the USA. Asta los chinos speak that Spanish in The HIA
I just bought a used car that was registered in Hialeah. Look at me watching videos looking for my car that I have a 1 in 200,000 chance of seeing instead of writing my essay. Lmfaooo.
I graduated from Hialeah High School in 1978. I moved out of Florida 4 years ago to Colorado Springs and I don't regret it. I was missing the multicultural food here but we finally got a Puerto Rican, Brazilian and 2 Cuban restaurants, so slow progress.
nothing beats south florida best area in the country even though its expensive but its worth it especially if youre latino this is your home in the united states

I love the Cuban culture! They are truly amazing and they understand the atrocities of communism. They have a zest for capitalism and entrepreneurship (like you Jose!) and the food...it’s my absolute favorite. I wish I had it every day.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS yup! My family is not Cuban but we have the most humble and honest respect for what Cubans have been through and in the states have been able to overcome and thrive. My father grew up in Coral Gables during the missile crisis and hid under his desk during drills. Communism is evil and we must stop it at all costs from creeping it’s way here.
I’m Dominican and I’ve been living in hialeah for 16 years from the east to west hialeah. Best place to live in hialeah has to be west hialeah lol. Also 49st has the worst traffic during rush hour lol.
I have to correct you. The Marielitos were not the first Cubanos in Hialeah. Cuban began arriving there in mass despues de the 1959 Castro revolution. Most were Cuban professionals, not savages. Hialeah was majority Cubano well before the arrival of the Marielitos. Also most of the people there are also not descendants of Marielitos, some yes. But not most. I was still living there at that time and had family that began arriving in Hialeah came there in the early to mid 70s on my Mom's side and the early 1960s on my dad's side.
You have to speak Spanish to live or work there. A lot of people actually don’t speak English at all there. (My ex was El Salvadoran n lived there for a bit)
There are some people who speak English in Hialeah. The Cubans I know have been there for decades and speak both English and Spanish. To make money you have to speak both.
Back in the late 80’s they would drive up and down the streets in an old pickup trucks with a loud speakers in Spanish telling people to vote for them.
Born and raised here … Hialeah has the best people worst drivers lol if you are from Miami and say you are from “Hialeah” everyone always looks at you like oooh boy Hialeah lol
