After sliding it out (it had other board games on top of it) and setting up all the balls, we played for about ten minutes before abandoning it.
You can see the shadows of the trees moving towards the top of the video frame throughout the video. Stuart's watch shows that it is the afternoon, so the sun would be setting. The sun sets at the west, so the shadows are pointing to the east. To be more exact, there is a bump in the shadow at 1:09 close to the bottom left corner of Larry' tray. At 9:55, we can see that this bump has moved up and slightly to the right. This shows us that the path of the sun is slightly tilted (as in not parallel with the left and right sides of the video frame). This means that if the centre of the table was the middle of a compass, the line for west would be the line through (roughly) The centre of the board and the position of Larry's pac-man at 7:55. Put this information together and I can safely deduce that Stuart Ashen sat and faced North-North-West for twenty-seven minutes (which I worked out from checking Stuart's watch at the start and end of the video. The watch is not visible before they set up the board, so I factored in 5 minutes for setting up time).

just ran across this video and i remember having this game as a child, except the ghosts were a different color (i want to say orange or red, but its been too many years to remember exactly) and the marbles for the "power pellets" were an odd pale pea-soupish greenish-yellow instead of bright yellow like this one's. sadly it wandered off in pieces because my cousins were cruel and liked to destroy toys i favored, i have some of the marbles left in a jar somewhere and that's all that remains. I think they finally got hold of and burned the board in the same bonfire they burned the last of my he-man figures in sometime in the very early 90's. being a geeky child in rural america was a difficult thing to be in those days, especially if you were a girl.

whats funny is that after all this time, they were playing the game completely wrong lol. the rules are confusing. Power Pellets DON'T make you immune! Ghosts can still kill you if they move into you. Power Pellets only let you eat Ghosts IF a Pacman moves into a ghost. Not the other way.

I had this game when I was a kid! But my version had different designs for the Pac-Mans (Pac-Men?). They were a solid piece with a hole to push in the pellets, the jaws weren't separate (though the box picture still was the same), so they were more comfortable (perhaps it was a second edition?). The ghosts were identical, though. I still have some pellets lying around. Good memories.
