I bought a Dyson vacuum cleaner 3 years. It broke within a year of using it. I had to replace the battery at least 3 times until I finally gave up and bought an LG. Never had any problems with this vacuum.
Dyson is garbage now. I had a TP07 fan that makes whining noises, had it replaced twice and each one has the same exact problem. Pure and utter garbage.

Dyson makes great products that look great mounted on the wall, doesn't hold a charge, the filters are small and expensive, and the whole thing is better to replace than repair because its too expensive..., did I mention its looks great on the wall?
I have tested and reviews hundreds of vacuums and none have performed better or more reliably than dyson. My 13 yo DC25 still works like new. So does my 5 yo TP01 purifier. I have used my v15 literally every day for 2 years with absolutely no issues at all. I have used over 20 dyson products. Only one had a major problem. Most of the bad reviews are probably caused my user neglect. Which is a big problem nowadays. People complaining there product doesn't work when it's on them for not taking care of it.
I hope one day Dyson revives its car project and factory plans for Singapore. Ironically Hyundai Singapore is now assembling 30,000 Ioniq 5's a year using only 100 people and largely robots, a plan that was almost identical to the concept of building their cars with automated equipment there too!
The problem with Dyson is their non-patented technology for their price point. The Chinese makes fab copies of these unfortunately, sometimes , even enhanced versions of what dyson has to offer
I can sympathise, I was also once so down on my luck that I had to live in a humble coach house in Bath too. The whole area was full of these transient types. I felt like it wasn't right and I deserved better than that, I wasn't like all those other people who had to stay in Bath but I had been affected by an unfortunate series of circumstances. The deformation is inside the cyclone and is visible from the ripped rubber on the side of the cyclone. They simply ignore my complaints. Just stick to more traditional brands. They lost me forever.

Their normal, non battery vacuum cleaners were the best. Sadly they dont develope these anymore. About cars: i dont see a future for electric cars. The resources needed for batteries are like oil: theres an end to it. I think hydrogen hasa much better future.
