Thank you for giving this 71 yr old women easy to follow instructions. I changes the batteries and that's all it need. The cost of a plumber does not fit into my budget. God bless you.

Awesome!!!! I just called AHS to cancel the service; luckily, dispatching process had not gone through and I got $75 of service fee back. I had no clues about the batteries. I thought there was some plumbing issue causing the faucet not working. Thank you, so much 🙂
Thanks , you really helped me out . I got it fixed in no time. No idea what was the problem but it is running now. Appreciate the steps you had me to go through. Liked and Subscribed
Hey David, Awesome! Glad it helped and thx much for subbing! We have hundreds of DIY video and post multiples every week to help people keep solving problems and saving$$$ Thx again!
Guy that installed mine put ONE AA BATTERY IN BACKWARD! It worked for a few days after installation and then quit. So remove batteries carefully noting the polarity of each - which is what I did. I'm not sure why it worked for even a few days!
How long should the batteries last? We’ve replaced the batteries in ours 3 times in just over a year. We’ve also had the whole battery pack and the cylinoid once. What gives? If I would have known that there was so many issues with this faucet I wouldn’t have picked it!
my battery pack keeps popping open, is there a fix for that? the plastic piece on one end of the cylinder has a little piece of plastic that is shorter than the other end, does that matter? i don't have an outlet and this is my only option. thank you
Hey Joanne, I just looked at mine- both sides are same size. Maybe yours broke? Could be differences in productions runs too… hard to say. Easiest fix - good ole reliable gorilla tape ( or less strong duck tape ) . Just push the top down tight and tape one side to the other over the top . A little more work - contact customer support and see if they’ll send you out a new case. Hope that helps! Thx for watching!
Thanks for that. Very helpful. Surprised it runs on batteries and isn’t plugged into a wall - is there an engineering reason for this? Maybe grounding vs power source…just curious.
Hey Ian, Not that I know. Probably convenience. I believe an ac adapter can be additionally purchased if you have room in the under sink outlet. Thx for watching.
My battery pack won't stay closed. Before I replaced the batteries it wasn't staying closed either. It popped open before I replaced the batteries too. Is it possible to bypass the system?
Just got one of these faucets. The batteries are good, my handle is turned on. I see the light turn off and on whenever I touch the faucet or handle but the water is still running. I’ve checked all the troubleshooting options and I’m not sure how to proceed.
You've obviously never used one, it's a small price to pay a few batteries every 6 months or so to have a touch faucet. I smoked 5+ briskets and a hunch of other stuff every week for a couple years, and being able to operate the sink while your hands are gross is SUPER useful...just keep extra batteries...who doesn't have space batteries?
@@THEJavelinX No actually I have one, thanks for assuming. No the stupid thing is if the batteries run out and you don't have a battery, IT DOESN"T WORK AT ALL! That is the worst design ever. Fail to at least still get water out. Make it so the touch doesn't work, not that the faucet can't turn on at all. So yes, worst design decision ever!
@SS Sandman but if you buy stuff that's essential that requires batteries, and then you fail to keep a deep stock of batteries...then you fucked up lol. Also, if the batteries died and you had none left, you could remove them, put them in the freezer for a little bit, then install them back in the sink, turn the touch sensor on so that it opens the valve inside the sensor, and then unplug it. If you remove power while the valve is open, it just stays open forever, which effectively turns the units into a normal manual kitchen faucet (source: I had to do it yesterday because my sensor is faulty, so I know it works lol)
I hope nobody watching this needs that much instruction on changing the batteries. Otherwise good info, unfortunately it was no help to me. I wired in an AC adapter in order to not have to deal with batteries, so that's not the issue. It works inconsistently, you may have to try 10 times or more before it will decide to turn on or off. With the clip unhooked and just hanging, it works every time I touch the clip or even the wire, that surprised me since the wire is insulated. Any thoughts?
1) Move the clip up as high as you can on the shaft of the faucet. Believe it or not materiel your countertop of made of can cause issues. 2) Unhook your adapter and reinstall the batteries in the box. If this fixes the problem it's a problem with the adapter box itself 3) Call Delta and see if you can get a new Solenoid. Depending on the age of your faucet your Solenoid may not be combatable to the adaptor your using and you might need an updated one.
@@Tee1471 - It was doing the same thing before I got the adapter for it. I did try siding the clip up high and made sure the wire wasn't touching others. I believe it's granite, if it's an issue with the counter material is there a fix for it? Some way to insulate it?

Nice save! Glad you figured it out. Thx for watching !
Easy fix just changed the batteries. Thank you so much.
Thank you for explaining how to open the black battery box. :)

Thanks for posting, mine was a simple battery change after almost 5 years. Wouldn’t give me water even manually even tho it was just batteries.
5yrs?? What batteries are you using? I might get a year out of mine. I’m using Energizer batteries. The faucet IS in the kitchen and used a lot.

Can you disconnect the batteries from it and use it as a normal Fossett?
I believe so. Contact delta customer service and check with them about your specific faucet.

Hey Liz,
Delta does make a plug in adapter which eliminates the need for batteries.

Just bought a home with one of these. Whatever advantage there is to paying nearly a thousand dollars for one versus a regular tape is beyond me.
Hey Harold..,
That certainly is NOT what we paid. But that aside. Talk to me in 3 months- they real do grow on you!!!!
