    Definitely sounds like it’s floating valves. I put 26# springs in my predator yerf-dog and it would wind up past 8k rpm. Too afraid to go any further. After a while of riding I noticed I couldn’t get it over 6800. After putting in new springs I noticed that the new springs were taller and harder to compress than the ones I was replacing. I read online that these springs will lose their shape and strength after a while, especially if leaving them compressed after riding. Heat and being compressed changed the shape of the spring. It’s best to turn the engine over to TDC, after riding, to keep tension off the springs.

      Yea I think these may have previously been in an engine .. I was also thinking about the weight of the hemi style rockers over the no hemi

    Awesome vid man! Hey my kart has the tendency to want to flip have you noticed less of that since you removed the cage and the center of gravity is lower?

      Yes removing the cage helps alot .. also need to transfer body weight in turns

    So what was the top speed? Hard to see the phone through the camera

    • @RAWRMotorsports
      @RAWRMotorsports  2 роки тому +2

      It was 45mph and it hit valve float with 22lb springs .. I got some 26lb springs going back in for a rerun !

      @@RAWRMotorsports Not bad for a small block on a large full suspension 2 seater. Not bad at all. Ever think about going big block? I'm doing a Duromax 440 build right now. Will probably upload it on a different channel once it's done.
