    I've looked all over your site for what you are calling HD clear but nothing comes up as that, it only comes up with HD additive! Is this the same?

      There is a link in the description of the video. It will take you directly the to page. Once you are there, under "color" you want to select "HD Sharp Clear". We don't have a dedicated page for each Wilflex Speciality Ink. Instead they are all on the same page and each effect is found under "Color". Hopefully this helps. If you need more assistance with ordering please give us a call
      800.366.1776 and we will be happy to get you taken care of.
      Also, just as a future note for you, if we ever talk about a specific product in a video we will most likely include a direct link to that product in the description of the video for connivence. Thanks for watching!

    This looks awesome. Love the video. So one question: how would you do a combination of water-based ink with foil? What would be the best way to handle the curing and what would the process look like? I was thinking that you would put the glue for the foil on the same head as the water based inks, maybe do wet on wet for inks. But what would the process look like to do a combination of foil and inks together and how would you cure it? I’m trying to find a way where I don’t have to pull my shirt off the plat losing the registration so maybe I could even do foil on top of water-based inks even better. I have both a flash dryer and a conveyor dryer.

    Great video. On the distressed foil technique, is the HD clear tacky enough or would it be better to run it through the dryer at a gelling temp of 275 degrees and then dab the foil? Post cure on the heat press to mash the crinkled foil into the clear and cure it.

    Very cool ! Two questions : First, are you running them back through the dryer after applying the foil and secondly, where are you purchasing that foil ! Thank you

      @GraphicSolutionsGroup  3 роки тому +2

      Thanks! For the first technique yes, you apply the foil on press and then send the shirt through the dryer. But for the second technique, the "Tap Technique" you run the garment through the dryer and then apply foil while it is still nice and hot. After you apply the foil you can run it back through the dryer to ensure it is properly cured, but there really isn't a need for this.
      If you check the description of this video there is a link to Amagic Textile Foil on our website. There are many color options to look through. Make sure to tag us on Instagram and Facebook to show us what you create!

    I want to know why my foil is not adhering completely to my clear base when I go to cure it? Do I need to cure it first before I apply the foil and then cure it again?

    • @GraphicSolutionsGroup
      @GraphicSolutionsGroup  Рік тому

      Foil Adhesive must be cure first before foil is applied with a Heat Press, no need to cure the ink again after foil is applied.

      Is there any way to use foil without screen printing? Yes. We have a video on this channel on how to use it with HTV. Check it out!

    How how was it when it came out of the dryer before you did the dab technique? In my screen printing class the ink comes out at around 300° f. Is that hard enough for the dab technique to hold foil! Sorry for so many questions but this is so cool!

    • @GraphicSolutionsGroup
      @GraphicSolutionsGroup  3 роки тому +2

      That should be hot enough. We basically let it cook down a bit before foil. And we are more than happy to answer your questions. So feel free to ask!

    How many washes does it last?

      @GraphicSolutionsGroup  2 роки тому

      It depends on how you wash it, but typically the shirt will last about 20 washes before it starts to breakdown.

      HD Clear works best, but you can use regular ink.

      @@GraphicSolutionsGroup I have a question that I don't know if anyone can answer but you. Like I had mentioned I am new to screen printing and I am actually taking a class at my community college but I thought of something that I'm not sure I can try at school. Can you screen print over vinyl? I know that's a weird question but if so can you make a video doing it?

    • @GraphicSolutionsGroup
      @GraphicSolutionsGroup  3 роки тому

      @@masterprinter5029 You can print vinyl, such as used for signs or decals but will need to use ink specifically for vinyl application. You cannot print on vinyl used for textile (Siser) application.

    Can it be done with plastisol ink only?

    • @GraphicSolutionsGroup
      @GraphicSolutionsGroup  3 роки тому

      Hey Luis!
      You do not need to use Plastisol inks. You can also use water based printable adhesive for foil application.
