Cali, I was taught everything I know by an old lady called Bess who was our nearest neighbour when I was a kid. The kids in the village were all scared of her but she was a lovely, but private person. Bess was a true Hedgewitch/wise woman and she passed much of her immense knowledge of medicinal herbs and lots of other common sense stuff on to me. She told me that you should always have a sprig of Rowan (Mountain Ash) with the berries, tied with a red ribbon and hung up inside your door to prevent any bad energy getting in. I really love what you have done here for the Autumnal Equinox and I will definitely be putting a similar one in my cabin but I will incorporate the Rowan. I love everything you do and I am absolutely dying to make some of the wind catchers and stained glass (CD tile) pictures you make.
I just found your video and made one for myself, thanks for the inspiration.

I love it! Adding natural elements makes it even more beautiful. I have a collection of sticks in my apartment that I need to use, perhaps tomorrow I will do something similar. Thanks for the inspiration!🍁🌾🌲🍂🍀

Hi, I only just found your channel so I am a brand new subscriber. I have been binge watching your videos. I love all of them honestly because everything you make is either my taste or very easily adaptable to my taste. I have had a million and one ideas since I began watching. I so love UA-cam for that!
Like you I do a pretty wide verity of crafts but I actually only started when I got sick. I am bedridden now so finding things I can do from bed is great. I love that your projects are usually more about taking the time and patience and doing the little things very well than they are about big fancy things that require a lot of moving around. I don't know if that makes sense but I know what I mean at least lol.
Anyway, thanks for sharing your knowledge and talent with us. I am going to give this project a try but a spring equinox version. I do a fair bit of wire work so I think I might make a wire work tree of life rather than a pentagram. So many of the items on my alter have pentagrams that I am trying to make things with other symbols that have a lot of meaning and power for me. Yours is beautiful and I love the frayed look too.

Bess taught me to ask the spirit of the tree and (Elder trees have a little salutation which I can't remember word for word but it is thanking the Old Lady of the Elder Tree for the flowers, berries or whatever and you can leave something beneficial to the tree in return.
Oh god here I go with another book ...I need to move the mega comments to Facebook. .lol...I have seen a heap of interesting seed heads so I am going to grab them before the gardeners cut them down...I always pick up cones and feathers and nuts and berries and interesting twigs in prep for Christmas

Wow Cali thats so pretty. I think you just pushed me to finish my dream catcher today I only need to add the feathers (I feel like a lazy bum when I see your projects all finished)
I think you might of inspired me to add some more ribbons too. I probably over did my embellishments already It's shall we say a little over the top girly froo froo and not spiritual at all.

It's what we called a quick release slipknot and we used it for tying our horses up. ..you just pull on the end to release, but the other end just gets tight if it's pulled. .is that the one? It looks like it...its maybe a half hitch...that sounds horsey..lol!

That intro music was amazing! What was it?
I have a lovely fall branch weaving that has been hanging on my house for several years. I will give this a try to keep it company. Simply lovely.
The intro music came from the UA-cam audio library, I can't remember the name of it, sorry :(...So happy to hear that you like this project ,let me know how it turns out for you :)
I'm taking a break from it for a bit as i figure out where to come up with more fibers and consider what kind of beading and other embellishments to include. It's about 1/3 of the way done, though. It will surely be done before Mabon. I realized I was rushing through instead of constructing mindfully and with intention. Time to step back and let the process move me. I know you know what I mean. *smile*
