Maybe also consider using flat loop resistance bands in space for strength training. They also don't require gravity to work. One can get an excellent workout with them.
If you brought a 100 lb dumbell to space would it be floating around? What would it be like to move it, hold it. lift it? Would it feel heavy? What would be the feel of it there in space in zero gravity? Would you notice any difference moving a 100 lb dumbell and a 10 lb dumbell in zero gravity?
id like to know if an astronaut in space can carry a truck on his back? lift a grand piano with his small toe :p i wanna know if you can lift stuff in space that wouldnt be impossible here on earth. basically do they have super strength in space because of zero gravity?
A truck or grand piano would just float in a vacuum. So they couldn’t really “carry” it as such. Although there is no way you could possibly take something that heavy out of earths atmosphere on a rocket.
I was watching Chris Hadfield's video of Space Oddity for the umpteenth time, when I began wondering if astronauts did strength training in space or not. Looks like, yes, they do. I tried to come up with my own idea before checking into it. Isometrics, and elastic bands, is what I came up with. This certainly looks interesting. Here on earth, I've tried many types of training, especially when young. After getting older, and out of shape, again, I settled on the Total Gym. Which I really like, because it combines equipment, bodyweight training, and even weights, all at the same time. Giving it a unique feel. Obviously, Total Gym would never work in space. Not even for Chuck Norris.

Julian john their space suit weights 200kg here on earth but up there they move and jump around with it as if you were wearing a shirt here so yes
