I like the look of the Neverfull but the security of the Iena ✅
Love my Iena MM-use it everyday. I like that not everyone has it, you see the Neverful everywhere!! And having a zipper is nice too.
I'm so glad you love yours, too!! I agree that it is fun to have a bag you don't see around every corner! I especially love the front zipper pocket for my cell phone. :)

How are the corners on your Iena now? no wear still?
Can you do a update on wear and tear of Iena? Is the stitching on the handles pulling from weight? That is something I am worried about. TIA!

I would say that the newest bags that are most similar to the discontinued Galliera, are the Berri, the Melie and the Graceful. They are all a hobo style with a similar design, but all are a bit more rectangle than the Galliera.

I’m thinking of Neverfull for work. But now I’m leaning towards Iena.
if you could choose one tote like bag from LV, which one would you pick? I have the metits, and speedy mono 25 and got the neverfull MM as a professional bag as i graduate grad school. i got it bc its a classic, but wondering if I should have gotten a tote with a zipper instead? or just gotten another crossbody like a speedy B DE or alma DE
I love the Iena you have. I would need a Samorga for it for sure. I love that it has a zipper on top and an outer pocket. I like that it is a bit different from the all-too-common Neverfull.

Hi, love your videos. Can’t wait to see your finished rooms you are having painted! I have a question. I bought the Mono Iena when it first came out and I have never used it. It’s still in the dust bag in my closet. I don’t like on me the way the width of the bag sticks out from my body. With use will that soften and mold to your body over time? I purchased the South Bank crossbody and dearly love it. Everything I wanted in a crossbody bag. Thanks for your response!!!!

My Iena is very pliable and squishes nicely to my body without losing shape (if that makes any sense), But, it really kind of always did that...it didn't have to soften to that state. I guess if you are not loving it now, you will not love it after a year. (Except maybe the fact that it is such a "do everything" kind of bag) So glad you are loving the South Bank crossbody! That is an adorable bag! :)

Ooooh, camera bare and no lens cap? That was painful. I use a thin neoprene case for my small camera. The a5000 or a5100 are a bit harder to find a soft case for. I bought a pouch at Daiso for a friend. Try to find something in either neoprene or a pouch with some cushioning, so the camera isn't sitting in your bag bare. Please!
Will it comfortably fit an A4 sized document?
I have the Delightful MM and my husband bought me the NeverFull MM for Christmas (both in monogram). I wanted a new summer bag in the Damier Azur print and for our anniversary, he bought me the Iena MM. I absolutely love this bag. I think the zipper is what I was missing on my other two bags. It’s soft and squishy and beautiful, but also secure. I also love the zippered pocket on the front. I’m late to the Iena game but I’m sold!

Hi Melissa. I have gotten this question a lot, so you are just as confused as many of us....me included! I don't know how I would decide!! I love them both and use them both, but for different reasons. I usually only use my Neverfull MM while traveling, and I love it for this purpose. My Iena MM is more of an everyday, errand running, do everything bag for me, and I have used it for travel, as well. Both work for both purposes, so I guess it is a matter of whether you want a more secure zip top and outside front pocket more, or the classic Neverfull design more. (???) Good luck with your decision.

LOL...that chapstick was desperate to be in the video!! Oh, I love the sound and feel of LV zippers, too! They are absolutely the best zippers ever! I also (really strangely) love the sound the handle of a Speedy makes as it is dropping down onto the canvas side...... uhh.....yeah. HA!! 💕
I really like LV totes, but for the amount of money they cost, you'd think they would attach four little feet to the bottoms.
Yes, I understand what you mean, but I've actually never seen a tote style bag with feet in any designer. When I think about it, the totes I have seen from Hermes, Chanel, YSL, Gucci, Michael Kors, Coach, Target.... all are "footless". So, I think it is a design thing (like backpacks don't have feet) rather than a cost thing. :)

Hi Jennifer, do you know why the neverfull looks much darker than your Lena MM? I have similar issue with my Neverfull GM, which is much darker than my speedy 30
Hi! I was told that the DE canvas darkens a bit over time. Is your Neverfull GM older than your Speedy 30? All my older LV DE pieces are darker than my newer ones.
Could you please compare the Iena with the Speedy 30B? I can’t decide between the two. The Speedy looks as though it may be more heavy? Plus I’m only 5 feet tall and I have a feeling it’ll look like I’m carrying a luggage around but I don’t want the Speedy 25 since the opening looks too narrow and that would bother me. The Iena looks very roomy but I do like crossbody option on the 30B. Any suggestions would be wonderful.
kailee408 yes the speedy DE is more heavy. I'm thinking about selling mine. I recently bought the Iena mm and it's weighs nothing :)
Hi Kailee! I sold my Speedy 30B because I found that I never used it. It is definitely heavier than the Iena. The Speedy 30B was too bulky as a crossbody, in my opinion, and kind of bulky as a shoulder bag too. Other people love it, so maybe I'm odd. But for easy use, the Iena can't be beat!

Hi Christine. The strap drop on the Iena is exactly the same as the Neverfull MM. They are both 9 inches. I'm so sorry that does not work for you. :(

Hi Jennifer - I've been loving all your Iena MM videos! I followed along on the exchange story but I'm still thinking about the Mono. I also will have the curling fears! Just curious - Do you think the flap can be weighted, sewn, modified? I'm thinking of purchasing and enlisting a professional to put feet on the bag and modify the curl flap. I don't even know if this is possible. Thanks for the content!!!
Hi Molly! I truly do not know if someone can put feet on it and sew down the tabs...but that is an interesting thing to do! I would love to know how it goes for you if you do either of these things to your bag. I do think that you would need a foot in the middle section of the bag as well as the four corners, though, as the bag is slouchy enough that the middle would still rest on the ground even with feet on the four corners....does that make sense? I love my Iena so much that I am considering the Azur this spring! I know the tabs will curl, but I might be able to deal with it. Good Luck!

Hi Melissa! Actually, the bag fits perfectly under the seat in an upright position, so it doesn't fall over, or need to be placed on it's side. It really is a perfect travel/under the seat bag! :)

How comfortable are the shoulder straps of both Iena MM and Neverfull MM? Do they dig into your shoulders?

I find both of those bags to have comfortable straps, but if you have shoulder issues (which I believe you do) I would go with the Iena since the straps are wider.

So thankful for your videos. Two questions...I hate the straps on the NF, they are painful especially if it's the least bit heavy. I find the Iena straps to be very comfortable no matter how heavy the bag gets. Choosing which ONE I would have if I could only have ONE is very difficult. I use them for two completely different reasons....!! I use the Neverfull more as a tote bag...on trips and running errands with lots of little things inside. I use the Iena as an everyday "purse" bag. They both can be used for either purpose, of course, but I always seem to use them separately in different ways. OMG....I can't choose!!! This is horrible...!!!! ACK!!! (I am sitting here with my laptop, thinking this through.......I talked it through with my daughter..... I got up and looked at both of them again.... ) I use my Iena more often....so I guess I would choose the Iena. BUT, I would cry and kick and scream about missing my Neverfull. (but I would miss my Iena if I could only have my Neverfull) Okay, Okay!!! I guess I would keep my Iena. ......sniiiifffffffff! :)

The strap drop is exactly the same on both bags. But the way the Iena slouches down on the top gives it a bit more space.

I use an organizer from PurseN (I get mine from Amazon) Just check the measurements to make sure you get the size you need.

I have been debating between the two for sometime now. I like NF because of its red interior and Iena for the zipper top. Still don’t know which one to go with...
They are really interchangeable. They fit the same amount, basically. It's a matter of preference. I tend to use the Iena more as a daily handbag and the Neverfull as a travel bag more often. I almost never use the Neverfull for day to day errands, etc. It is a difficult decision, for sure!! Good luck :)

Yes. The longchamps wear tiny holes in the corners. I had the large one for school. The holes so big now, pens can fall out. I'd retire it, but the color is Peacock, and is my favorite shade of teal.
Good to know, thanks! Could you sew the holes shut, I wonder? It might look a bit wonky, but so do holes, I guess. No more pens falling out!! Peacock sounds divine!
hi, my longchamp le pliage had holes too at the corner but i had it sewn by a local bag repair and i still use it. love that it’s easy to handle and very light. i still use it on weekends. it’s a grab and go bag! hope you can have it repaired, too!

No, I haven't had any fading issues. If anything, the DE gets a bit darker with age.

In order to purchase it, I need to sell either my speedy 30 in empreinte or my NF GM. Up until now I'd been thinking of selling my speedy, but now I'm wondering if I should just sell my NF? After seeing this, I'm thinking I may go that route. 😊👍🏼
Hi Sierra! I'm glad I could help you decide. That is a tough decision....the Speedy or the NF. Your Speedy is gorgeous, though, and it works as a completely different type of bag (less casual). The Iena would function much like the NF, but it would for sure be smaller than the GM. If you can spare the space to downsize to the Iena MM, that would probably be your better choice.
Loved your video. I bought the Iena about 7 weeks ago in Dallas and it was my first LV purse. I did look at the Neverful also but went with the Iena. I liked the zipper feature for added security and liked the outside pocket to put my Iphone7 Plus in. I just really love this purse. I am still in the state of treating it like a baby. About 4 weeks ago we were in California on vacation and went to the LV store on Rodeo Dr and just had to purchase the South Bank crossbody and that also is a great weekend purse. I keep thinking about which one will be my next purchase. I do like the Speedy B 30. What do you think about it? Have a great day.
Hi Sandi! So glad you love the Iena :) And the South Bank crossbody is adorable! Great choice. I had a Speedy B30 and ended up selling it because I didn't use it. I know many people who love theirs, so maybe I'm just odd.... It is a very versatile and useful bag. I found that I prefer the Speedy 30 in the non-B form. But you have to be a "handheld" kind of person, which I definitely am. I would like to try a Speedy 25B sometime, though, as I think I would prefer it as a crossbody. I would probably never use it as a handheld or shoulder bag... I guess it depends upon what you are looking to use the bag for, mostly. You have the daily/travel bag (Iena) and the crossbody bag (South Bank)...are you wanting something more dressy? How do you feel about handheld? Do you like the option of being able to convert the strap to fit your needs? Maybe the Speedy 30B would be perfect for you! Good luck with your decision! :)
hi jennifer! why do some sites say its 11 in high and some say 10.5? also in some sites the depth says 6.25 and in other it says 6.7 or 6.6? i need a biggishbag for travels and i was counting on that 6.6 inches to actually fit everything. can u pls enlighten us as to the exact measurements of the bag? the LV site is many times inaccurate as well. thanks again!

I don't know if you'll see this, but I have a question about the interior. I'm very interested in purchasing this bag as my first Louis Vuitton piece! It seems to fit all of my needs. I'm just curious if you've noticed any colour transfer from the dark interior onto lighter coloured items you may be carrying in your bag? This is something that is really bothersome to me, and I would hate to spend so much on a bag and have the interior stain my contents. Thanks so much!
Hailey Hi!! (I saw this!!) I have not noticed any color transfer at all. I carry my Damier Azur sunglasses case in mine and it is not effected by the interior color. Hope this helps. You will love this bag!! 👍🏻❤️
Jennifer: Great review, thanks! Now I definitely want an Iena. What is the difference in strap drop, if any? I "tried on" a NF MM in a boutique while traveling, with a winter coat on, and the strap drop was not long enough. I gather from one of your prior videos that you also live in "winter weather." Any problems with either bag's strap drop being too short? Thanks!
The strap drop on the Iena is exactly the same as on the Neverfull. (9 inches). I find it to be a bit snug on the shoulder in the winter with a heavy coat on too. 💕

Oh dear. Sorry to make it more difficult for you. LV bags are extremely addictive. Once you have your first, you will be saving and plotting for your next one! I am a true believer in using my bags to the fullest, and if that means using them to make me more comfortable on flights, then that's what I'll do! Ha! That's really the beauty of LV....they can be used to the extreme and still be elegant and lovely. My Neverfull has been all over the planet with me for many, many years! You can see how well it has held up! xxx

Thank you! Yes, I chose DE over monogram because I was concerned about the vachetta leather tabs on each end of the zipper. I know that on other bags, these tabs tend to curl upwards after awhile, and I knew that would drive me crazy. Silly, but true :)
