I love the music, but I love hearing that Hungarian accent again. I am 81 years old now and my parents were from Hungary. Mom has been dead for more than 50 years and I miss that Hungarian "lilt"
STAY HUNGARIAN!!!!!!!, My Sister!!!! Kuscera, Pal
Wow!!! If I had been there, I would have been up and dancing to every song. I am now 68 and still dance to Hava Nagila. Some tunes I recognize, and some are new to me. I enjoy a large variety of music and this is one of those styles I enjoy. Thank you for sharing. :)
Don't miss the amazing "long flute" around 36:15. Dual tones.
Also "Ani Maamin" (43:50) and a havdalah song (47:30) are highlights, at least for me.
and of course music to the classic dance called the "csárdás" around 54:00.
and... (whew!) around 1:03:00.
AND... the last song is from Reb Isaac of Kaalov who bought the song in the fields from a shepard. It's around 1:22:00. What a treasure!
koszonom szepen !!! התרגשתי מאוד
This is so beautiful, it brings tear to my eyes.
Fantastic band + great (folk)musical tradition= MUZSIKAS!
Hello Everybody ! The Csárdás is Hungarian dance and music. The Csárda (Churdah ) means restaurant and pub.
You might remember that Hungary had a huge Jewish population at one time and most of these tunes played here are actually Jewish in origin. Did Jewish music influence non Jewish Hungary or the other way around? You're guess is as good as mine.
Truth
@@Lagolop romanians from Transilvanya were also part of the empire. This music has a lot of romanian folklore influences.
@@kukubau6620 I totally agree. As I pointed out to some moronic idiot, that many ethnic groups lived in the region and the music, dance etc is a mix of them all. Interesting to note to the so called "hungarians" here that are getting their noses out of joint about Jews and their music, is that the JEWS lived in the region long before the magyars ever got there. What the country was called has little to do with who actually lived there. Borders change.
But also we have Jewish csárdás! Hoppá
I'm discovering amazing kinds of Jewish MUSICA, from sepharadi Ana Alcaide- from Toledo, passing by Mark and Piris Elyahu, to Hungarian Jewish!!!!! How nice!!!! Jewish people were all over and are amazing musicians! Congrats!
Elképesztően jók az előadók......! Fantasztikus , ahogyan megszólal ez a zene.! A Jó Isten éltesse még sokáig e nagyszerű zenészeket.!
Music is a prayer without religion
Then do not call it a Jew. For no reason.
Do not talk about something you do know!
Have you ever visited Transylvania? Be careful what you talking and writing
Religion is a discipline and music has a even more discipline than religion. It's good to develop personal opinion than type what you hear. 🤯
So beautiful!
Exelentes musicos me encanta como tocan ojala vengan a mi pais Chile.
just beautiful music and talented musicians! Thank you for sharing, I love it!
Amazing and thank you for sharing !
Todah raba, this is amazing, I love it!

+svaszon i think the singers are of jewish descent
svaszon yes I know. that's what I also commented on facebook to the person who shared it. It is hungarian folk music all day long.
+Uzishan there ar no singers nor jewish singers here...
@@Uzishan Jews had in fact, lived in Hungary before the Magyars even got there! Look that up. The music of the region is made up of a mix of many ethnic groups.
LOS AMO, SON GENIALES!!!
Lovely musical performance !
THANK YOU FROM BROTHERS HORVATH
Fantastic musical performance !
Love it
Muszikas is wizards with instruments
Mooi en Eerlijk
does anybody know the name of the song that starts at 29:20?
Hi Ioan-Noicolae, the music is definitely typical of Gyimes (Ghimes) East-Transylvania. The small region is mainly Hungarian speaking, but the music and the dances are influenced by the Romanian culture. I was lucky to buy a big box of beer and make play the famous Blind Zerkula from Ghimes himself in the early '90s! Let me link a longer video . You might even find the song in that compilation. If not, look for more melodies from that region

Good job, buddies.
My Hungarian soul came back to life.

Jeney Klára, ezt biztos ide akartad írni?
Jezus ,it's our folk music from Tatry (mountains) from Poland.
Really? Not Jewish? Ha-ha-ha!! Greetings from Hungary.
It's more regional music and the Jews were living in the Carpathians of Eastern Europe for at least 1500 years. There probably isn't a Pole living today wothout at least some Jewish genetics and many Poles ar enow discovering their Jewish roots too.
Indeed, they play the same game all over the Carpathians. I also love Polish goral music.
Beutiful Hungarian and Jewish music and a great performance Too bad Martta Sebestyen dod not sing.
én már láttam őket a Kesjár Csaba Általános Iskolában...LOL...XD...
Mi az amit ezek nem úgy loptak össze,más nemzetektől?! :(
Például a nevedet! Azt ők adták...!
1921 Ostenburg hülyeséget beszélsz :-D
;)
It is real and totally hungarian music, from Transylvania (Erdély, Ardeal) and Moldavia (Moldva).
This folkmusic is never and none jewish.
I can show you jewish (jiddish) folkmusic from the Carpat basin, with strong hungarian influence in melodies, for example also from Transylvania, see this:
ua-cam.com/video/ySGre-6l3Ic/v-deo.html
or this:
ua-cam.com/video/pP5tDe2CbEQ/v-deo.html
And, also known jewish (jiddish) folkmusic from South Baranya, I heard it by András Berecz.
These are just the facts.
Desculpem, mas não é Judaica.
Aceitaria se dissessem Romena ou Moldava.
You re right , surely !!!!!!!
old song is come from chasidic dynasty from hungary and rumania
OMG WHY IS THE BEGINNING SO CREEPY
What stupid title! This is not jewish!! This is a mix of hungarian/romanian music, to not say it is mostly romanian, inspired from historical region Maramoros, part of Romania.
@kuku bau Jews have lived in this region for hundreds of years. Do you not think they would influence the music, dance, food etc? Jews were there long before the Magyars for Pete sake. Most romanians and hungarians have Jewish genetics for that matter.
Enjoy this...

Csárdás is a Hungarian music! Please do not jew it.
Thanks!
Jews have been a part of Hungary for a very long time. Just maybe (as indicated) it is hard to know exactly where the music came from. We do know for a fact who some of the composers were; some were ethnic Hungarians, some were ethnic Jews but they were all from the same place.
Yes and Jews have been in Hungary for over 700 years. So they independently developed their own styles of this music over time.
@@ytyt3922 Irony is that csardas was invited by Mordechai Rosenthal a Hungarian Jew from Balassagyarmat, later known as Mark Rozsavolgyi...
My dad was a Hungarian Jew and when we went to Hungarian Restaurant my dad would cry when he heard this music he has been gone for over 20 years now when I hear it it reminds me of my childhood and makes me cry 😢
