2 years ago, I did a search for Lazy Sunday with the intention of hearing it
by the Small Faces. The MonaLisa twins' version popped up and I was extremely
impressed with these two talented and gorgeous females. I have been listening
to them ever since. I bought all of their CDs and other merchandise from them.
I still can't get enough of them! Keep on rocking Mona and Lisa! 🎸🎸
They put it all into the music, whether it's their own songs or someone else's. No gimmicks, no pretension, just massive amounts of talent and heart.
I love the Cockney epithets rendered in a Tyrolean accent!
If the MonaLisa Twins were performing in the 60s they would’ve been Super Stars and todays LEGENDS !!!!
Steve, Ronnie, and Mac would be proud!

These ladies are incredible musicians, singers, and all around performers. Lisa’s lead guitar skills on her Gretsch are far above many well known guitarists. Mona’s singing and lead in’s are always spot on. Thanks for sharing Mona and Lisa😊

Small Faces, one of the coolest bands of the 60's. And here they are undone big-time by this awesome version of one of their best songs. My hat off to you, girls!
Have to take exception to this comment. While the Mona Lisa Twins have fashioned a charmingly faithful rendition of this British music-hall classic, their attempts to mimic its brash Cockney flair fall inevitably short of the Small Faces' legendary stature.
@@QuicksilverSG you absolutely have a point here. :-) However, when I listen to the overall performance of the song, I definitely prefer this version.

Another fantastic cover by the Mona Lisa twins that takes a hidden gem from the Small Faces and makes it their own. This is another example of how good these ladies are. I mistakenly read the title as "Sunny Afternoon" and was expecting to hear them perform that Kinks classic. Who knows... maybe they will someday.

Oh man!!! After I heard your version of this song, Sundays have never been the same again. Not a sunday passes I don't want to listen to this over and over. To be honest, I never heard this song before, and what a golden nugget you created with your version. The energy and passion in your singing and superb tight guitar work, just is hard to contain the joy and passion it evokes from the listener. This is truly magic! Kudos for an incredible performance. Absolutely love it!

Steve Marriott was the lead singer with the Small Faces. After Steve left Rod joined up with Ronnie Lane , Ian McLagan, Kenney Jones and Ronnie Wood to become The Faces.
