It was Bun Bun who would had a surprise instore for everyone and Taiya himself *he made the power ups which the inspo is Taiya's dream of becoming a Firefighter (acording to the artdical),don't disrespect Bundorio's genius mechanical skills*
So, Homura Sakito is different in more ways than just design and attitude. Don't know if anyone mentioned it, but you remember how all core 5 have car parts pun names, right?
Homura Sakito is a legit name meaning something along the lines of "Flame of Destiny" or "Destined Flame" or something, but if you combine "mura saki" you get Murasaki, which is japanese for purple. The remaining particles would be "Ho to" which might be just "Hot" or "Fire and". So literally "Hot Purple" or "Fire and Purple"
I've seen people say that "Homura" would also be a corruption of "Formula" or that "Sakito" would be for "Circuit", but I don't particularly buy those.
Also, though it's surprising for newcomers to see Purple; this is its 4th year in a row showing up in Sentai

The reason why I don't buy into Formula Circuit is because it is phonetically wrong. The puns for the other 5 don't have to change the sounds to work, but this one does.
Fõmyura Sãakito is close enough if you squint at it, specially Sãakito, But you need to do 4 pronunciation changes for it to work (Change an F for an H, drop a whole vowel sound, change the inflection and duration of the A). "Homura" is closer sounding to "Homeland" or "Homerun" than it is to "Formula"

Blue Ranger name is Ishiro Meita but the Pun is Chassis Meter. They explained in series that Taiya found Ishiro too bland so he called him Chassiro as in Chassis.
The same applied to Homura Sakito.
Sakito when put into Katakana will become Circuit.
