I was at both nights in Seattle that summer
Same here. I played football at UW and one of my teammates knew the promoter. If you see the guys at the front of the stage wearing red shirts those are mostly UW football players. We got to work as security and it was seriously one of the most fun nights ever. Catching crowds surfers while rocking out to one of my favorite bands from the best seat in the house. It was an experience I'll never forget
@@_JellyDonut_ I was there on this night too! What an awesomely energetic Rawkin' summer SoulFlyin' concert that was the greatest I have ever been to..so far! The moshpit was seriously INTENSE and dangerous actually ! My sister had to hang out up in the side wings of safety. I was totally drained of energy in the best way after this great time. Thank you Pearl Jam for putting your hearts and souls into our lives through your music for immortality and... Escape it's never the safest spaceship to Sirius the dogstar of destiny🌟
@@charlesbogle6544 So intense! I don't know if you remember but they had some barricades setup maybe 100 feet from the stage, kind of like a little island within the pit. It was there to prevent people from getting crushed at the front. It's so crowded you can't really see it but if you pause the video around 17:38 there's a line of people (parallel to the stage) that aren't bouncing while everyone else is. Those people are leaning up against the barricades that I was inside of. It was only like 5 feet from front to back.
There was about 15 of us packed in there catching people surfing and lifting girls out of the crowd if they were getting crushed or overheated. There were openings on either side so we would lower people into our little island and then direct them out to the wings to safety, like you were saying about your sister. We had bodies raining down on us from the front and back. It was insane but so much fun. Like you said I was so exhausted afterward but totally stoked. Definitely one of the most fun nights I've ever had.
Really awesome concert!! Thank you for sharing this awesome video 😊💓🤘✌️
Ed sounds rough here man
