THE CROSS OF JESUS CHRIST - 1 CORINTHIANS 1:18-25
The cross was an emblem of the most hideous lowering
A public symbol of indigity, humiliation.
It was the most degrading way to kill a person.
It was intended to break a man's body but to crush, defame, degrade a person.
Concept of the messiah evoked a message of power and triumph.
It's this path of the cross that God took to bring salvation to the entire world.
Death, curse and sin is conquered at the cross.
A hanged man is cursed by God. Gal 3:13
The death of Christ at the cross removed sin and curse
The cross brings peace, unity and reconciliation.
The cross provides the impartation of God's righteousness.
