Good morning CheB. Thank you for the prayers. The hurricane is coming in but has shifted over some to another area of Louisiana. It will hit around 1 pm. In our area its been pouring down rain since yesterday. We are now in a tropical storm warning area. We are still basically going to flood and sand bags are protecting our doors around the house. Thank you all for prayers. Its well be a level 2 hurricane as it comes in. Hopefully the ones who can evacuate can. I cant believe the damage the typhoon caused. I've been praying for the people there. Does your place of business actually make you come into work during the storm?? My daughter runs a restaurant and i cant believe they will risk their employees lives making them drive into a storm! Like anyone is going to go out to eat while a hurricane is raging. Stay safe everyone

Hello, USA 🇺🇸 Missouri here. I have a friend in Texas who is getting ready for Beryl (bycol), they’ve been hit pretty hard the last two years. My FIL lives in Mississippi, he gets hit too. We don’t have hurricanes in Missouri, but tornados, which are just as devastating. Take care and stay safe.

Hi Cherry! As I type this I am hearing wind gusts outside from Hurricane Francine - which I heard from our local forecaster are the last ones (Hallelujah). Some areas were hit pretty hard, but in my area we mostly got heavy rain, tropical storm-force sustained winds, with higher gusts, and downed trees. So far I haven’t lost power - sometimes flickering lights, and I pray it stays on. We appreciate everyone’s prayers! We will know by daybreak what all Francine has done to our area. Your typhoon prep is very much like our hurricane ones 😊 I did my prep on Tuesday, including the securing of large trashcans or furniture, and removing any loose tree or other debris that I haven’t had a chance to. This morning I actually had a minor medical procedure, so it’s been quite a day! Your ramen looks very delicious (uma). Japanese bakeries have the cutest creations. Thanks for sharing your time with us. And thanks again for praying ❤God bless!

Hi Che , you have plenty of time to learn baking . There’s only one secret : weigh all the ingredients just like the recipe asks . Don’t add 10 grammes here or there , don’t swap ingredients and you’ll bake fantastic cakes . When you are ready buy a book for beginners at baking , then experiment . You’ll be amazed at your results . 😊
Agree! The recipes are usually tested and will work well by following the steps. My mother would add, always let the eggs rise to room temperature. Cooking with a cold egg messes up the timing.
@@doradedham9162 in France we never put the eggs in the fridge because they don't get the chemical bath the US gives them which destroys the natural protection the eggs have . So we don't need to think about eggs at room temperature.....

Francine is due to hit Louisiana. We have lots of family there. Some might come stay with us until it's over. Around here, people panic buy water, toilet paper, bread, and milk. Schools shut down and some businesses, too.
We live in SWLA. Our schools shut down and I'm thankful. We live in a rural area where flooding and falling trees happen. I'd much rather the schools shut down then have bus drivers out trying to navigate flloded roads and around fallen trees. Why shouldnt businesses shut down during a hurricane? My daughter runs a restaurant. No one needs to be out in a hurricane to get a lunch. As of now the hurricane has changed course a bit but we will still be getting topical force winds and rains when it comes in later. Im glad you can shelter family if need be.
I'm pleased that you were all safe as the typhoon downgraded to a tropical storm before it hit. There is a vlogger in the Philippines and her sister put a Christmas tree up on September 1st!! To be fair she has a young child but ... that's insane to us.

Hello from Maryland USA. Our water comes from a well, so in a bad storm, when the electricity is off, there is no well pump. We have to fill buckets roo.
It’s interesting that there’s someone using a well in US. We have it also in PH. No electrical pump, we pump it manually. That’s a public manual pump, water was difficult that time, I don’t know if it still exists in our province, that was decades ago.

I am so glad that hurricane was not that bad the hurricane we have here in America I just got an alert saying it came as short as a category to which is relatively small but if it came in at high time that means there's going to be significant flooding and where I live even though I'm very far from there we may get effects of it as rain

Hi Che , you have plenty of time to learn baking . There’s only one secret : weigh all the ingredients just like the recipe asks . Don’t add 10 grammes here or there , don’t swap ingredients and you’ll bake fantastic cakes . When you are ready buy a book for beginners at baking , then experiment . You’ll be amazed at your results . 😊
Agree! The recipes are usually tested and will work well by following the steps. My mother would add, always let the eggs rise to room temperature. Cooking with a cold egg messes up the timing.

@@doradedham9162 in France we never put the eggs in the fridge because they don't get the chemical bath the US gives them which destroys the natural protection the eggs have . So we don't need to think about eggs at room temperature.....

I’m in an area where we got just lots of rain and it was a bit windy. Worried about family and friends down by the coast though. Yes, Louisiana has been hit with effects of the typhoon and tomorrow, Sept. 12th high winds and rain in parts of Tennessee. So sorry to hear about the terrible destruction and loss of life and your home in 2006. You and family are so blessed to have survived that typhoon, God's heavenly angels were watching over you! Francine is due to hit Louisiana. We have lots of family there. Some might come stay with us until it's over. Around here, people panic buy water, toilet paper, bread, and milk. Schools shut down and some businesses, too.
We live in SWLA. Our schools shut down and I'm thankful. We live in a rural area where flooding and falling trees happen. I'd much rather the schools shut down then have bus drivers out trying to navigate flloded roads and around fallen trees. Why shouldnt businesses shut down during a hurricane? My daughter runs a restaurant. No one needs to be out in a hurricane to get a lunch. As of now the hurricane has changed course a bit but we will still be getting topical force winds and rains when it comes in later. Im glad you can shelter family if need be.

In PH when ber month comes we consider it as Christmas season, we really start to decorate Christmas tree and put Christmas lights outside our home, even in malls and stores. Too early but I also decorate my snake plants maybe by October.☺️
Hello from Maryland USA. Our water comes from a well, so in a bad storm, when the electricity is off, there is no well pump. We have to fill buckets roo.
It’s interesting that there’s someone using a well in US. We have it also in PH. No electrical pump, we pump it manually. That’s a public manual pump, water was difficult that time, I don’t know if it still exists in our province, that was decades ago.

I am so glad that hurricane was not that bad the hurricane we have here in America I just got an alert saying it came as short as a category to which is relatively small but if it came in at high time that means there's going to be significant flooding and where I live even though I'm very far from there we may get effects of it as rain
