I mean I understand what is trying to be said but I think the plant is indifferent about us. The same effects can be achieved through the consumption of mescaline that has been synthesized in a lab. I think a more rational/grounded approach would be beneficial when learning about the therapeutic value of psychedelic compounds.

I don't really understand your point, it's the plant that created the mescaline first for a reason, then they recreate that substance in the a lab so it's normal it has similar effect, they just copy what the plant was naturally doing for millennia. For me every living thing has a form of consciousness, everything is consciousness in fact and matter is just a by-product not the other way around.

I guess what I'm trying to say is the fact that a chemical came from a plant has nothing to do with the experience you have. The chemical unlocks the experience within yourself, it simply alters the way your brain processes information. The plant is not "Interested in simplicity" or trying to teach us something, that just how some people interpret the experience that came from within. I actually like the idea that consciousness permeates all matter as well, but that doesn't mean the plant consciously made a compound so humans can use it.

@@Stoges420I don't think you're chemically qualified to really claim that.

The plant is a spirit, but this understanding will never reach some so therefore will never get to experience this divinity
