I don’t understand why prosecutors don’t charge the known murderer! That makes no sense!! This is not justice.. FOR SHAME! The family must insist on charges…!!
Did the jury believe that Bo planted the glove because he was the real killer? Why would he frame his friend and not just a random person? So he plants the glove but then stays quiet for a decade? The phone call and explanation for it. Some addicts do steal for drug money, so what was Bo’s connection and reason for killing Tara? None of it makes sense.
Ryan was just as responsible that's why his glove was at the scene. But here theyre not talking about it cause they want to paint him as some victim i guess for clicks
@@zxy78267 I don’t think so. They were friends so either they did it together or it was Ryan and his friend felt sorry for him and believed his story that he over reacted and helped afterwards. After a decade Bo had to get it off his chest because he was not the murderer but had.some guilt. Ryan did stay quiet. Bo did not set him up with the payphone phone call, the DNA on gloves, the motive, and the confession, those all came from and point to Ryan. Nothing else makes sense. imo.
The person who actually did the crime seems to be protected by police, courts & government. Their vindictive prosecution of the man after a jury acquitted him of murder, doesn’t mean they think he did the crime, but that they are upset with him for naming the person who he claims to have murdered the poor girl. They are probably hoping he’ll murdered in jail by a fellow inmate or they might hope he will make another false confession. I wonder how many other murders the person who actually did the crime has committed. Perhaps the FBI could find a reason to pursue this.
At least here i could gladly say "innocent until you hear his side of the story" . Am glad he told the world his involvement and the prosecutors are mad 😂😂

Nice episode. Sometimes few local officials know that the murderer is likely an influential local guy based on circumstantial evidence. They may let the worst local investigator investigate the case. Just so the killer never gets caught. A punch by a tough male person at the right place can kill a girl. Regardless of who killed whom.
I've heard of so many robberies that turned into homicides for no reason. Especially to women who couldn't or weren't even fighting back. She was also likely SA'd. Her home wasn't targeted by accident. Keep your head on a swivel and don't trust anyone. If I could avoid other people entirely, I would.
Living your life in fear isn’t really living, it’s just existing. It seems like there are more murders, but statistically this is the safest time in history.
@@DVD927- Well if you can open someone door with a credit card that’s throwing your life away. Since we don't have an actual body, we'll never know if she was sexually assaulted or strangled or tortured. Maybe Ryan is legitimately fuzzy about those details or maybe he is purposely not telling them but there is a reason a glove with his DNA was found outside Tara's house. Tara deserves better than all of this, if I were her family member I'd want to confront Ryan and Bo to tell them what I really think of them.

And now her parents have to see again how justice is not being done in her beautifull and kind daughter horrible murder. I'm very sorry for Tara of course, and for her parents and their pain.
??? I remember this case being solved several years back. The murderer confessed and was sentenced. Has he now been exonerated?
@@Ilene-pz8fp His sentence was very short, they just pretend justice was done and forget about it.
@@AmorDivino-e5qwhy the other guy was not convicted? Prosecutors don’t have proof of him?
Dukes was convicted of concealment & other charges. 25 years. He was charged in two rape cases. One happened when he was on bond in 2019. He fled; 5 day manhunt. He was charged with attempted kidnapping, other crimes. Maybe that's what he planned to do that night. 😥 he should never be out on bail. He's a flight risk, at least 👹
I agree. Most police are lazy when investigating crimes against women and my experience of reporting a crime in Atlanta was they said we can't tell you if the man stalking you moved from Fl to Ga. No follow up or investigation.
I was totally addicted to ‘Up and Vanished’ and Vinnie🎉!
Bo set Ryan up from the beginning. He was an easy mark because of his substance abuse problem.
Nothing else makes sense. imo.
@@livecalm2246Fair assesment but to me was Bo who killed Tara and Ryan was an accesory to it
The person who actually did the crime seems to be protected by police, courts & government.
Good to see Vinnie out of the office doing groundwork.
Why admit to something as serious as murder in the first place
I'm telling you they got this wrong! Justice system is broken
Yes. Bo should have been investigated and charged to begin with. All the locals know Ryan didn't do this. They truly messed this case up!
Yes! More than a decade did nothing. But now very quickly wanted to put the first guy in prison and close the case, for ever! Disgusting!
The jury was wrong
He had confessed for the murder yet he was acquitted 😂😂😂 this is injustice in a system that claims to uphold justice and human rights
Addicts and alcoholics who commit crimes such as robbery should be sentenced to treatment for the addiction
Loser meet loser, then others are in harm because they’re a waste of life.
I believe Ryan's testimony is the truth.
This is awful! Those prosecutors to be sitting in a jail cell themselves.
Wow!! Ryan for you from the Philippines good job and congrats guilt no more and enjoy life mabuhay ka!!!
so interesting that so many podcasts have solved closed cases. ;
Sadly, justice for Tara hasn’t been served & won’t be until Beau is charged with her murder.
I know nothing of criminal science but when it's dead silence......it's a powerful local person

I live about 23 miles from there! So very sad and still don't really have all the answers!!!
Hi Connie
What do you think about her missing?
OMGOSH!! Who else cried at the reading of the verdict??
She lived in a HOUSE not an apartment 🥴
Maybe a house that had been divided into two apartments? The living space looked small to be an entire house.
Even after all these years, Vinnie's still a hottie! ❤️. RIP Tara.❤️
Ryan’s pay phone call to Tara seems weird. Very odd.
Truth always prevails
A killer is not gonna tell the complete truth. Like he said he went into rob her i do not believe that. Also they did not find a struggle and if he would have punched her there would have been blood which they did not find. This was planned especially getting her out of her home without anyone noticing probably because they were both involved all along.

Great Art! Shout out to the artist!
Ryans new charges are a clear case of prosecutorial revenge for losing his murder trial!
And damn her voice is so annoying and loud.
But on the other hand no prison time at all for helping to cover up the crime?
I've heard of so many robberies that turned into homicides for no reason. Especially to women who couldn't or weren't even fighting back. She was also likely SA'd. Her home wasn't targeted by accident.
Keep your head on a swivel and don't trust anyone. If I could avoid other people entirely, I would.
Living your life in fear isn’t really living, it’s just existing. It seems like there are more murders, but statistically this is the safest time in history.
@@DVD927- Well if you can open someone door with a credit card that’s throwing your life away. Every woman (or even guy) who lives by herself should make sure she has a good strong lock, especially beautiful girls like her that many guys would find attractive and the crazy ones will act on it.
Today the technology is much better there is security strike plate lock, and ring camera (although the ring camera can only help to identify a robber/murderer after the fact, but it’s definitely a deterrent in break ins), having both is the best.
@@DVD927 I live like that, with very limited contact to people, and must say, it is the opposite of living in fear. It is freedom. Fear is going places, where you have no idea what weirdo's you may run into. Finally I do what I want to do, when I want to do it, and how I want to do it. If you're constantly with friends, you tend to compromise a lot, and sometimes do things you don't even want to do. Look what happened to poor Ryan.

I believe Ryan is telling the truth about how they hid and burned her body but that he is hiding everything else. I think both Ryan and Bo were high and drunk and killed Tara together. Since we don't have an actual body, we'll never know if she was sexually assaulted or strangled or tortured. Maybe Ryan is legitimately fuzzy about those details or maybe he is purposely not telling them but there is a reason a glove with his DNA was found outside Tara's house. Tara deserves better than all of this, if I were her family member I'd want to confront Ryan and Bo to tell them what I really think of them.
that glove was probably planted since it wasn't found until later
His alibi is passed out in his home after a night drinking and drugging with BO. Could he have been there when she was murdered, while high with Bo? Bo killed her than planted glove? That glove just doesnt sit right.

@@dawn1913very likely that Bo planted it there in order to make his ”buddy” look like the guilty one
The glove was there because Bo planted it there days after the first investigation. Tara’s boyfriend, who was a police officer, didn’t see the glove when he was looking for her. Did you even listen, or were you just typing up your own “conclusion”?! smh
It doesn’t take a genius to see that both of these men are responsible for Tara’s murder. This is bullshiz.
The defendant confessed to the murder
Now the défendent lawyers are betting on a dead horse 😂😂😂 he was on drug when he invaded Tara’s house and killed her for money
The rest is a game defendant lawyers were playing to get the défendent off the hook for justice

Love watching Vinnie he’s such a great guy! So very sad for you Tara’s family ❤
I've been following this case for years and could never understand why it had never been solved. Small times and gossip go hand and hand. Someone should have spilled the beans before now. Great show Vinnie except for the producer or reporter, whatever, her voice. Oh my goodness, grating.
It’s been solved already

Bo was not that big. She said he was big. Also they made it look like Ryan started drinking n drugs after the death. He admitted to being passed out drunk the night of the murder. Maybe it made it worse but he prolly already had struggles because he was doing that already. 🤦🏻♀️
Duke seemed to need to get the truth out there. I believed his version of what happened. Scared that the other guy got off with no time. A true friend wouldn’t do this. He picked a terrible person for a friend. So glad he got the chance to set the record straight.
No doubt Bo killed her under circumstances that will probably remain unknown. He's got a history of SA.
Does he? I wondered if that was his motive for breaking into her house. People think they're safe in small towns, so they don't have good locks. And I've heard so many cases where people think they are safe in a small town and never even lock their doors!

✨I wish Ryan Duke and Bo Dukes nothing but a lifetime of nightmares... And I pray that Tara's loved one's can feel some peace with the "justice⚖️" the court delivered them💗
I believe Ryan will have a lifetime of nightmares, because he is remorseful. Bo however, got away with murder and shows no remorse for his part in it. Why? Well, just like everything else in this world, Money. It all comes down to who has the money to buy their way out of it. Bo Dukes is an absolute POS who will get out of prison and rape or kill someone again. HE SHOULD BE CHARGED WITH HER MURDER!!! Our justice system is flawed. Leave Ryan alone and let him do his time. Quit trying to put more charges on him. Why, if Ryan can be charged in another county, why can't Bo be charged in both counties?? This case was absolutely ridiculous.
Im so confused..he confessed..his dna on glove. Not guilty?
Uhhhh, did you not watch the show, or.....? Cause it explains it pretty easily. Smh.
I think the prosecutor might have some personal feelings here - perhaps didn't like losing to a younger and prettier attorney. Thought she had the case locked up.
It clearly sounded like a false confession from someone completely sick or he was coerced something smelled wrong
This touched my heart for many reasons and sadly the mighty dollar speaks to the lazy ones
Shame on you America! Such a beautiful and educated woman was murdered by those scumbags and they will go unpunished for their gruesome crime. How sad and unfair.
Prosecutors are absolutely horrible
Praying she & her family will get her the justice they deserve! By the way Vinnie, I love how to say, “p-con”. 😂
5 years? that is not justice!
They need to leave this dude alone
Interesting that Vinnie pronounced pecan more like a Georgia resident (“pee-CAN”) than the WSB guy (“p’cawn”).
I hope Tara’s murder will get solved. It’s been way too long.
I say it like the WSB guy. I'm a Texan.
I'm from Alabama and we always said p'cawn
I'm from the Midwest and we always pronounce it peecawn.
I'm from NYC and I say pee-can 🤷
Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia, weighing in on p'cawn.
That woman said "this isn't possible" has never heard of one punch killing guys before. I would probably say its not very plausible but hell there was even a case that was featured on a documentary about accidental killers and the shame and guilt they live with and one of them was a dude who got into a bar fight and with one punch killed the guy.
I remember this case and it being unsolved for years
How it seems the person who did the killing is not charged, but the person who helped hide the body gets 10 years or did I miss something
