Hey man of steel. I'm new to the profession and I follow you and I've seen most of your movies. Happy to receive tips and recommendations for a good tool shop .You are number one for me. A real master craftsman in steel. Honest May God bless you Thank you Daniel Israel
Wow this is crazy you’re amazing I’m a auto body technician with 18 + years of experience trying to incorporate this new technique - glue dent repair, and you are doing such an amazing job Thanks for this instructional videos And showing the tools you’re using
I love my Metal Medic Mega Green for Florida heat. If there is a lot of shade the black from amazon works very well. My customers would be very happy with that repair. You truly understand metal and movement. It must take years and years of experience to understand it that well.
Great work. Our bread and butter is collision work. We've been in business since 1963, Walker Body Shop & Towing, a lot of passed down knowledge. In the past few years we've adapted to PDR techniques for faster repairs and saving panels where old school methods just don't apply anymore. Great videos. Tab Weld is our favorite.
⚪ 🔵 🔴I am from Russia before I started watching your informative videos, I only changed many body parts, but now, after only half a year, my level of repair without painting has grown so much that I need to expand the premises and recruit people to help, since I simply do not have time from the influx clients. peace to your home
Great video as always. I would do a touch up instead of an expensive refinish. Touch up paint and using a razor blade as a squeegee followed up by wet sand and buff/polish can work as well as a refinishing the panel. Please keep the videos coming
Very useful info and techniques. I've been trying to use more of these methods in the body shop where I work. Major time savers for me. Eventually would like to pivot into more PDR work. Less mud and sanding. Keep the videos coming, and thank you.
As always, very impressive work. You have an excellent knowledge base of what works, and how to attack the work. Plus, you know well how to comment to explain both the issues and the solutions. Excellent job on the videos. Joe
What Really Appreciated from this channel is that he don't bs and go straight to the Job. Also he doesn't try to make money on his secret school or content like other channels. I strongly recommend you. Share any video you see to help the M.O.S.
I just recently got into the glue pulling at first I was using Amazon glue then I went to the Gorilla Glue no I'm using the pink glue from Black Plague but I need to get me some of that tab weld that you just used on this vehicle awesome work keep it up learning a lot from your videos
AS you know I'm new. I Like both this Tab Weld and BP tabs you recommended. One of the things I'm having Difficulty with is where to start my Pulls. I guess that will come. What is something good to use to straighten out a Rocker Panel ?
Great videos Man of Steel! My father and I both have a PDR business as well and never knew about dent pulling like this! I’ve watched all your videos and was shocked when I saw what your Auto Body Puller could do! I definitely need to get my hands on your tools!

You will still have to paint that, BUT, the fact that you were able to save the door, without using any body filler, and even without using old school metal finishing pick and file techniques (how I would have to do it), is absolutely amazing!
EDIT]
My reason I would repaint, is because I have done way too many like this, where you can see the splits in the paint as you sand it off with the DA. you cant see them untill you start sanding, but they are always there.
I love the glue pull. I wish I had this when I was a kid.
Just for comparison:
I would have probably opened the door, and put a clamp on the edge to pull off of. After that initial pop you had, I would leave the tension on, and start working the deep areas with my suction cups. I used to start with the big ones, and work down to the small ones.
Next, I would buzz the paint down to the primer with my Buffer, using #36 grit on a hook it sanding disk. This keeps it spinning slow, to not over heat. Using a buffer with a sanding disk, instead of a grinder was one of my secret weapons. I would finish taking the primer off with #80 grit. I did it this way to minimize the amount of metal being removed from the surface of the panel.
With all the paint off, I would start working the line. I could use a nail gun, or I also have an old fashioned washer welder from the 1950's that uses hardware store washers. Today I'd probably use wiggle wire, if I still did this.
Once the line was done, I would start the tedious work using the nail gun to pull all the smaller stuff.
Where I differ from other metal finishers is in my use of fine sand paper on a wood paint mixing paddle to start my initial checking of the metal. I would use it just like a normal metal file, but the sand paper doesnt remove metal. I am trying to protect the panel's thickness.
This would bring me to a process of using the nail gun to pull small lows up, and a body hammer, or small jeweler's hammer to pick down high spots down. (Jeweler's hammers are magic, btw)
When I could go no further like this, I'd switch to the metal file and fine tune like a normal metal finisher would.
Final finishing would be to sand out my tooling and file marks with a D.A.sander using #80 grit, then #120, #180, and finally #220.
Send to paint.
Another amazing work as always, Clark. Tab Weld is my favourite hot glue although I use Burro Cactus Green, Hawg and Tequila, too, and Blackplage, Tequila and Keco are my favourite tabs to work GPR.
