A) Starocci is only ever in deep water when he has prey in his mouth. And B) Mendez worked the hardest of any wrestler at 141 which is why he is #1 now. He earned it.

How do you drop to a 9 seed when you are undefeated and a 3x National Champion before having to injury default in the B10 tourney. Just doesnt make any sense.

He defaulted completely out of the Big Ten Qualifier Tournament.
In the old days, if you didn’t wrestle in it, you couldn’t attend NCAAs not even by petition regardless your record or ranking.
He’s fortunate to even be able to still go and be seeded at all from the era I came from.
