historically speaking, did the LW schlacht/Jabo units ever attack allied airfields in the Post Normandy ETO? I know that the Jets would sometimes to 'quick' flyby and drop cluster bombs on airfields and of course there was "Bodenplatte", but other than that? I kind of get the feeling the LW lacked the resources to do this much. Now, In Tunisia, even the under-strength FW Jabo units wreaked havoc on Allied airfields, ports and supply lines all out of proportion to their size.
There have been some quick dash attacks also by 109/190 units, especially when forward airfield have been established in Netherlands post Market Garden. 262 Fotos would regularly attack operating Allied airfields throughout October and November 1944. Our attack was against a field which is being prepared for potential operations and hence not having full flak / fighter cover. Allied units would regularly mount strafing raids against LW forward airfields west of Rhine. Interestingly none of those attacks have resulted major damage / losses. LW were masters of concealment and dispersement
for a moment there I wasn't sure if the 2nd C47 was going to clip, and then... the cartwheel XDD nicely done
The game does have some nice scenes in it.
Nice job ! Well done !
Thanks
Very accurate bombing - particularly the first 500kg. (Referred by a link from Sheriff’s channel.)
Good upload.
Merci
what heavy AAA area are you referring? nice video... thanks!
We had some puffs of AAA here and there. Direct hit is low probability, but nasty...
