'vidyapati' was made by New Thewters (calcutta) in 1934 starring kanan (anuradha),pahari sanyal (vidyapati),k.c.dey (madhusudan dada),prithvi raj kapoor (king),k.n.singh,kidar sharma (pitamber) nemo,chaya devi (queen),leela desai. music direction was by r.c.boral &film was directed by debki kumar bose. This was the first major movie role for kanan devi as heroin
