Best table tennis players by their age (at the start of 2022)

Athletes in sports requiring speed and power tend to peak by their mid-20s. In todays video we will see that there are younger and even older players who are still dominant in table tennis tour. In about 10 days i will upload another video that will look at the best table tennis players by their age but in the women's section. I prefer Liang to Hugo, but both are really good and are some of my favourite players. Even though I’m Chinese, when I watched the match between Liang and Hugo, I really didn’t know who to root for.

Timo's career overlaped with the period when China had absolute dominance. At almost all times Timo was facing 3 Chinese players at his level, if not margianlly higher. Plus the Chinese players had world class coaches and practice partners who know every little detail about Timo's game. He still managed to put up a decent fight. What a legend

Why not 45 years old Vladimir Samsonov? One the world greatest players. Still ranked #36, higher than many younger players mentioned.

I feel that hugo is better than liang, but I understand why you did not put him as the best player at his age.
The game between the two remind me of the games between maze and hao shuai and maze vs wang hao in the 2005 wttc. Was maze better than them? Hard to say
