That's what's up .. I'm in Barber School now and I swear I'm trying everything .. gotta be Versatile! But I love your personality bro I can tell your driven 💯 .. Thank you for the gems 💎
Amongst all the five tips, the "nugget" at the last, has been what I've experienced in my 30+ years of being in the industry. Thanks, Mr. Bossio. Stay blessed.
I’m a barber student and 930 hrs in! I challenged my self to be in a show case I was recently in! I was the only barber there that’s still a student. I’m glad I did because my confidence went through the roof after I killed it! Thanks for the advice Bossio! Been following since my barber Journey began last year July!
I agree with you 1000%. I graduated Barber school in December 2019, and haven't flourished at all. My mom's shop was basically all seniors, which isn't bad, but my mom only charged $10 a cut. For January and February, I only made around $600. In March I made about $250 and then the pandemic hit and we closed down. We didn't open until mid June. It was so slow that me and my mom had to split the week. We didn't make enough, between the both of us, we couldn't make the rent and utilities. My dad would help us out with the difference. Eventually we closed down in December 2020, and most of my mom's clients called and asked why we weren't open, which pissed me off, if they wanted a haircut, why didn't they try and make it in while we were open. Anyway, I've given up on a career as a barber. I didn't get the necessary practice I wanted and needed to advance my skills, and I'm just as unqualified as I was while I was in barber school. I truly wish I would have networked when I should have. Anyway, great content brother, I enjoy your videos.
Please give it another chance, please! If being a 💈 is calling you in this lifetime I pray God give you the direction to get that done. I'm not even a 💈 quite yet, I do have all my hours and I've had them for a year and still not have tested. Life challenges are real. But I'm make sure I will test soon. God bless the both of us. Amen
You know what you are doing man i have to say , before i only saw you as a realy good barber that i could learn something from you ,but now i see you as a bussnes guy as well , i have read many books about money bussnes and stuff , and to see you win the game , that makes me motivated as a barber but as a bussnes man too. ( im still young 19 years old , i dont even live in usa im from greece , there a big diffrence in money in usa and in greece but everything i learn i try to use it here...)
Every you saying is facts. What you said for step 4 and 5 is how I think. I don’t like splurging like that I rather save then buy a new whip. And Health is Wealth gotta be Healthy to be Wealthy. Keep it up bro fr you teach me so much and everybody else
After 22 years behind the chair I couldn’t agree more with your points...wish I kept up with health though because I look like the hunchback of notre dame! Also I would recommend being nice to your feet because it adds up after all those hours! Great video as always 👍🏼
If I'm a garage barber doing 25-30$ a cut and I'm gonna move to a shop, and all barbers around me charge 50 , what would your move be in that situation? Most of my clients are still teenagers so I'd probably have to start a new clientele if I raised prices at the shop. But from your previous videos you said to just get booked at a low price then raise by $10 every time. Would you stick to that strategy still ?
He is 100% correct. I can tell you that I’m the top producer in my barber shop. But probablly a B+ hair cutter, but my customer service is world class.
I’m Just starting out as a young barber and your videos and advice give me motivation and got me thinking of my future thanks for the videos much appreciate.
Rule #1 You don’t loose until you sell......just because an asset in dipping and you’re dollar value is going down.....you hold and it will go back up and so will you’re USD value.....if you panic sell when you see it down....that’s when you loose money.....buy the dips and hold is my strategy because I’m not a day trader
Yo brother nice one. Much respect from Africa, we are having a barbering battle coming up in May and we over her in Africa admire u guys so much and as the chief organizer of the event i would really want TOMB 45 to be a sponsor please sir
A common mistake i see new barbers make is not being teachable. They dont accept constructive criticism. So they never improve or get better at certain techniques.
That’s not just a new barber mistake. A barber I used to go to for a long time refused to adapt. Would get upset if someone said they could still see a line when he did a fade. Refused to use enhancements cause he felt that was “hiding mistakes”.
Me for myself as a student in barber school I'm learning that confidence is key because without it would be like Stephen Curry if he just gave up after 3 missed shots knowing that the game is on the line for a win. So you have play forgetful when it comes to bad haircuts and stop looking at others success because like you said we all have to start somewhere even if we are trash bucket's.
@@Bossiocuts if you have the time please answer the following. I'm in NY and I'm looking for a really good barber school but there's so much noise and not really a clear answer to this question. MC Barber's Academy is 1-1/2 hrs from me in CT but I won't be able to cut in NY. If you know of someone with the skill levels on par with you, mc, bliss, Vic etc. Someone who's well rounded and worth the money. Thank you for your time and constant content.
Outstanding advice. I've been barbering for 2 years and you're hitting the nail on the head on EVERYTHING! I go to the local barber academy's and try to share almost identical advice every opportunity I get.
Any advice to someone who’s just starting out and trying to get friends and from school to help me practice but getting bullied because I want to be a barber
