that final room was such a pain omg. I suffered through most of the map without a guide, but when I got to the final room, I spent around 1-1.5 hours trying to figure out what to do, until I finally snapped and went to the guide, realizing that I was doing the wrong thing the whole time. thanks for saving me from myself there
Same dude, I actually tried figuring out the other rooms, but I genuinely went straight of the walkthrough for the last room. finished in just under 2h thanks to the final walkthrough.
Tried doing it for 30 minutes, ended up coming here anyway. Checked it, there was no way that I was going to figure out that in a reasonable amount of time lmao
we stay silly we stay silly we stay silly we stay silly we stay silly we stay silly we stay silly we stay silly we stay silly we stay silly we stay silly we stay silly we stay silly we stay silly
The awful routing and heart fakeout make this the only level in the mod that I'd call actually bad so far. Feels like the level designer wanted to make something really hard to find out regardless of whether or not it was fun, and didn't realize that the best part of Celeste isn't figuring out what you have to do, but doing it.
wholeheartedly agree, the idea was cool but it was a pain to even find out the route and then doing it. it was tedious and hard but kinda just forgot the fun part
This is one of my favourite maps in sj because of the amazing atmosphere, actually creative gameplay, and that trick at the end was mean but still funny lol
I almost rage quited when I first saw final room, but eventually I figured out how to solve that riddle and went through the final screen. It took me more than HALF OF AN HOUR. I feel exhausted, but at the same time relieved.
Lets fucking go I beat it Including the stats from the first room my finals were: 2151 deaths 5:52:51.630 time 1 carpal tunnel Now I can finally play the fucking game again lmao 5/5 stars
My second map in intermediate and it destroyed my confidence, difficult routing and a hard skill check, this map gave me farewell PTSD, had to return to in on and off for 3 days while I grind out other maps just to gain back some confidence. The gloomy music is probably the worst, I appreciate the artistic choice, but I can also actively feel the depression sets in as I die over and over again to seemingly impossible odds with that depressing ambient and visual.
1. This map needs a "hint" button (like Dropzle or A Gift from The Stars) 2. The fake heart should've just been the end, the room after it should've just been for an optional berry (the last room is why I even had to look this up in the first place)
Have to look up a playthrough for 4 rooms out of 10. Couldn’t figure out the odd routing needed. Figured out the final room without any help though, it’s not that bad once you figured out the solution.
Defo the hardest I’ve ever done. Took like 2hrs 15mins and 726 deaths. I can finally move on and play fun things again. On the road to eventually beat the entirety of sj!
1:18 I couldn't figure out how to do that room so i cheesed it with 2 precise demo dashes, skipping the left dream block and saving it for after clearing the long dream block.
was looking forward to this map so much and it did not disappoint. I usually don't like routing screens, but for some reason this one just felt different and I had a lot of fun. final room defeated me and I had to look at the video for that, but aside from that I solved most of it myself :) one of my favorites of the lobby.
Nice, this map was by far the most difficult for me, especially figuring out the final screen I see that you've unlocked the heartside, does that mean that you could clear synapse? I have a feeling the final screen isn't possible, which is why I'm asking
Despite everybody hating on this map, I really enjoyed the figuring out and eventually solving the puzzles. I really like the combination of puzzle and movement tech! It is so satisfying :)
I just completed this map and it took me 1k deaths after watching the solutions for each room apart from the fake heart one. My highest deaths in a map was 600 which includes routing and finding + collecting all berries, This map is NOT advanced.
this map could have been vastly improved by just separating the long rooms into multiple shorter rooms. i ended up just using 2-3 savestates per room so i didn't have to lose a ton of progress every time i missed a really precise midair super
How do you bunny hop on dream blocks???? I found that in the heartside level at 4:23, if you dash from the right block to the left one and dash just a split second later, you dream dash through the uppermost part of the dream block and can just BARELY get enough height to dash up to the dash crystal.
I know this is super late but you have to use the crouch dash keybind (not set by default iirc), that way you can crouch dash without dashing downwards.
just completed - 1:40:42.599 with 741 deaths, im starting with all the "hard" versions of the advanced maps.... the next hardest one to me was only 350 deaths with 39 minutes on the map(starlight, for now)
As a puzzle game enthusiast, the last room was super fun to figure out. After watching this video I realized that I took some quite unconventional routes to clear a couple of rooms lol, I'm surprised people don't like this honestly, it wasn't that bad, although I guess I had already completed a yellow expert and every other advanced map in sj at that point
About 1 hour of pure suffering and around 800 deaths. This one was like 3 times harder than almost everything other in advanced lobby. And I really don't like maps where you don't even understand if you doing a screen right or not. The last one was like impossible without walkthrough.
I'm not gonna lie and say that I think the routing for the level is well designed, but I will say it was really fun to actually pull off when I actually did know what to do. Kinda a shame it decided to take the route it did with treating its routing like a nonsensical puzzle.
Up to this point, from the beginner through intermediate levels, I have completed every puzzle they've advertised as a puzzle without even using a single HINT, not even talking about watching a playthrough. And this is the first time I would have used the hint option... If it was even there. I can see that pretty much everyone in the comments is of the same opinion that this is trash map design. Come on man! Puzzles are fun, but not when they require you to do crazy movements eveytime you want to try something out. I've completed every puzzle before this one because of the very fact that I could've just tried every option without the thread of dying. I came here to find out that you need to break the dream block at 1:24 to be able to neutral jump up those 2 walls... I guess it's a cool solution, but 1. Why are there no hints? 2. It is not obvious at all that that's the order you're supposed to go in and that gimmick of breaking the dream block to uncover something did not appear in any of the previous rooms. I'm giving this an F for puzzle design (because this map is just a puzzle; it's not even that hard)
I am really not enjoying the heartside room :sob: Given that this one was funnily enough my 2nd advanced red, and that i spent 2280 deaths and almost 7 hours on it, I did kind of forgot what it feels like to try and complete the rooms full of tech spam, but now that I'm here, it almost feels like the room creator wants you to suffer 😭😭😭
There is not a single second of this map that I enjoyed lol everything about it sucks, not only is it not fun to play the vibe is just so off the dull grayscale design the dreary music blegh
What kind of sadist made this level? I'm barely got to the fifth room and already 2 hours. Worst map in advanced lobby, hate accurate stamina management
Absolutely terrible map: depressing visuals, abysmal routing, bad level design and the music sounds like an alien geiger counter with dementia. Really considering to just use debug mode.
the visuals and the music maybe would be in the maps favor if the map wasnt agonizing to play , since the atmosphere it makes is good but having to listen to a droning sound and 2 colors while having the opposite of fun ends up making it against the maps favor
the vibe of the maps is engineered to make you go absolutely mad, primal, insane, red with rage which makes the win 100000000x more satisfying this, attack of the clone, and another one where the music was 8bit and sounded downy and like it was looping over itself constantly, all imo make you literally mad if you suck at the level and begin to seethe and i dont actually believe the designers wanted their levels to be maddening but a happy accident. imo the frusturation is part of the challenge, and again part of what makes the win so satisfying
the frusturating design being part of the challenge is imo also present in foddian games like pogostuck and getting over it, where the "oof, ow, awww i fell down😡" are i think designed to make you more frusturated and tilted. but as you need to git gud to beat the game, you need to learn to get over your emotions this is why i love celeste/sj so much, constantly i go through cycles of.. -ooh this map is interesting, cool vibe -ok this is bs -i fucking hate this map -the designer is a whore child of satan -everything is evil. everything is red. -holy shit i beat it! that was so fun! that map was so cool
the gimmicks itself wasn't super hard, but the weird routing is absolute worst. An average red difficulty advanced map takes me about an hour, some less. This one took over 2 hours to beat holy crap
this level made me drop the game for a year lmao
that final room was such a pain omg. I suffered through most of the map without a guide, but when I got to the final room, I spent around 1-1.5 hours trying to figure out what to do, until I finally snapped and went to the guide, realizing that I was doing the wrong thing the whole time. thanks for saving me from myself there
i hate the maps where you need to either read the creator's mind or watch a video to be able to complete it in less than 10 hours
i beat this in 2h30m fully self routed 👍
I did it under an hour but I had to watch the video for last room cause don’t wanna route it myself
i didn't even bother doing that final room without a walkthrough

advanced player here
i cant get past the first room its been 20 minutes :D
@@pandaa6770 I'm quite convinced this map doesn't belong in the advanced lobby lol
Advanced player here, got room 3 in 40 minutes. This map rairly uses some tricks from expert lobby
Very
I tried the first room for 30 minutes, didnt get anywhere and gave up, lol
They should change the name of this map to "Our Lady Of 20,000 Midair Dream Block Supers"
Midair supers are the easiest part of this map.
there arent dream supers in this map though
The awful routing and heart fakeout make this the only level in the mod that I'd call actually bad so far. the final room made me agree with you wholeheartedly, this shit sucks

Just reached 1k deaths + 2.5 hrs at 1:45 in
This map is actually going to kill me
Now at 1.7k deaths and 4:26 hrs and I have finally beaten that screen 💪
At 2:10 now
At 3:25 now, I’m so close
Over 5 hrs and 1939 deaths
Let’s see if I can beat it before 2023 deaths
Lets fucking go I beat it
Including the stats from the first room my finals were:
2151 deaths
5:52:51.630 time
1 carpal tunnel
Now I can finally play the fucking game again lmao
5/5 stars
gg the routing in this level is so hard it took me forever
I feel absolutely no shame in looking up solutions to this, this was one of the worst gaming experiences in my entire life
i went through five stages of grief while trying to complete this map
true for every sj map
Finally made it to the room with the dream dash crystals. Took me 2 and a half hours.
Guess the grind must go on.
