I love the shot of the clone helmets eventually panning to Jesse (who’s helmet design is the republics symbol), not only showing his death, but also the republics
The shot of the Venator falling into the clouds represented the death of the Republic. The Venator was the symbol of the Republic, and its crash was caused by the internal chaos sown by a Sith Lord. The shot of Vader's reflecting walking away and disappearing symbolized the closing of the Clone Wars chapters and a move into the Imperial Era of Star Wars media.
Ventress’ fate is told in the book “dark disciple”. The book was based on an 8 episode clone wars arc that never got made and is written by Katie Lucas, George Lucas’ daughter. Likewise there’s a comic called “son of Dathomir” that adapts another unmade clone wars arc that shows how maul escaped his capture my sideous Edit: I highly recommend both
@@MovieFusion The show got canceled after season 5 when Disney bought Star Wars. The show was originally on Cartoon Network. The duel in phantom apprentice looks so good because it was mo capped. Specifically it was Mo Caped by Ray Park who played the body of maul and did all his fighting in phantom menace and Lauren Mary Kim who has done stunt work on many many projects. Of particular note is she does the stunt work for the Armourer in the Mandalorian.
What amazes me the most about these last episodes besides Order 66... is the fact that... by analizing Ahsoka's facial expressions when Maul proposed to work together... it seems that she was actually considering it, and maybe even ready to accept it. But then she asked the crucial question "what do you want with Anakin Skywalker?" And because of what Maul responded she immediately turns him down... Ahsoka doesn't want to believe that Anakin... her older brother figure... could turn to the dark side. This show is truly a masterpiece.
In the 2016 Ahsoka novel, Ahsoka fought against an Inquisitor called the Sixth Brother. After defeating him, she took his Kyber crystals as her own. Then, to make her own weapons, Ahsoka healed the crystals, purifying them. That returned them to their original clear state, which made a pair of white lightsaber blades.
That last scene with the Clone Trooper helmet and Vader's reflection fading is haunting. It perfectly symbolized the true tragedy of the Clone Wars for the men we followed throughout the whole series and what war ultimately means in the end.
What is so tragic about the Clone Wars was that it was a war that id designed for everyone to loss. • The Jedi were wiped out to near extinction. Branded as traitors and forced into hiding just to try to survive. • The clones were forced to kill their Jedi Generals who they fought side by side with. They had regret about killing them and then they were thrown away for thr Stormtroopers. • The Republic was destroyed from within and turned into the Galactic Empire. • The Separatist were all killed and the droid army was decommissioned. • Anakin Skywalker, The Hero of The Clone Wars was turned to the dark side and became a monster. Goes to show just how much Palpatine manipulated EVERYONE so only he would come out on top.
Shattered is for sure one of my favorite episodes in television. Each for sure is easily a 5/5, and all are in my top episodes for television, but Shattered comes the closest. It did Order 66 better than RoTS did.
The venator crashing shows us the fall of the republic Whereas the Y-wing flying away shows us the eventual rise of the rebellion as the Y-wing was a main fighter/bomber for the rebellion
Great reaction! This is definitely my favourite bunch of animated episodes in Star Wars and actually my favourite bunch of episodes across all of Star Wars television. I can't help but get emotional every time, especially seeing Rex so upset. This arc made Rex and Ahsoka my favourite duo - they give me strong uncle/niece vibes - and I could watch a whole show of the two of them together, even though that wouldn't fit anywhere in the timeline. I just love them so much, even more than Anakin and Obi-Wan as a duo. I'm glad to hear you're watching The Bad Batch. Those gents are incredible and I grew very fond of them as I made my way through the show. I'm really looking forward to Season 3, which will be the final season.
Glad you reacted to this. The endings of The Clone Wars and Rebels are so emotional to me. Both shows reinvigorated my love of Star Wars. Andor continued it and I have high hopes for Ahsoka.
I love maul screaming “you’re all going to burn! We’re all going to die! You don’t know what you’re doing” because we know he’s RIGHT…that’s what makes this whole arc so good, we know what’s going to happen, but we don’t know WHEN and when it DOES happen, we can’t look away
Cool reaction. Too bad you didn't do the same with Rebels season 2 finale, I would have loved to see you react to it too. These episodes are really amazing. I can't help to tear up when Ahsoka takes Rex's helmet off. You should watch Tales of the Jedi as well. You will have a lot of background on Dooku and a bit of information about what happens to Ahsoka after Order 66..
She survived as far as I know, until she was later captured and killed by Dooku. She was in a realtionship with Jedi Quinlan Vos who fell to the Dark Side. She sacrificed herself to save Vos from Dooku which led Vos to turn back to the Light side.
The fact that Mandalore wasnt some random casualty in the war but a cultivated event by Maul to try to obstruct Palpatine which resulted in the attack on Coruscant is brilliant
The Siege of Mandalore was easily the finest animated trilogy arc that I have ever seen. Such an amazing story that of course intermingled with Episode III.
Vos defeated Dooku, but refused to give into the dark side and strike down the count. Asajj was mortally wounded, and died in Quinlan's arms, grateful that her love had found his way back to the light. She was then laid to rest on Dathomir, alongside her sisters. (so she dies before episode 3)
such an incredible show, i’m glad you shared your reactions to these episodes! i really do want Ventress to come back she was one of my favs in Clone Wars
42:40 The Bad Batch has some AMAZING episodes and it gives some great context on the early days of the Empire, what happened to the clones and how the Stormtrooper corps came to be.
You just had to be there when the final two episodes aired! For us Clone Wars fans, this was huge for us for many reasons. We grew up with these characters and they grew up with us as well. Seeing the ending of this amazing show was the emotional equivalent to accepting that our childhood was over and that we needed to move on, just like Ahsoka. Yeah, there’s spin-offs and extensions like Rebels and Bad Batch, but there will NEVER be a show in the Star Wars franchise that has influenced an entire generation more than Clone Wars

To answer your question in the first reaction: Ahsoka gets her white lightsabers in a book. The white color comes from her purifying the red corrupted (bleeding) crystals used by the dark side force users. She defeated an inquisitor by herself and took his lightsaber crystals and purified them, when you purify crystals that were bled (red lightsabers) the crystals will turn white.
