I think everybody and their grandmother loved Earth Wind and Fire in the 1970's !1 Hehe.. BIg Log is such an excellent tune from Plant ! very nice Gil.. see you soon.
EWF still gets all the love all these years later. They deserve it, such a great band. That lead guitar in Big Log is so catchy. Makes the song so addictive. Thanks so much for watching!
Haven't been to Sacramento for a while, been traveling.. Thailand, and Japan . An Assie friend turned me on to Icehouse ( self titled ) back in 1981, along with Sex Pistols, and The Specials ! Beautiful Tears For Fears PD .. nice ! Talk Talk awesome ! Good to see you Gil, I am watching the rest. Cheers JT
A lot of eighties bands. Good morning King, Some interesting adds. You seem to find the singles that you would not normally see in other record shops. I can assure you. When I saw Pink Floyd perform The Wall at Nassau Coliseum the music was balanced perfectly 360°. They did tear the wall down at the end. But it wasn't overbearing loud. I did not know that you were introduced to the Blimp after Plant's solo stuff. The flipside to Big Log is not bad. Way to go Gil. A classic VC vinyl update~
Hi Rob, I seem to be getting lucky with finding odd singles lately. You are so lucky to have seen Pink Floyd during The Wall tour. That must have an amazing show. Yes, I was very late discovering Led Zeppelin. Still a big fan of Plant's solo work. The b side song is pretty good. Always fun to collect Plant's singles. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend Rob!
Hi Gil… wow that Tears for Fears single !! Beautiful !!! What a great song and outstanding picture disc ! Love Big Log by Plant . I’m a big fan of Robert Plant ‘s solo work ! Very cool Marillion picture disc ! I love The Pretenders . Nice double 45. Amazing that That the Pet Shop Boys are still going strong these days . I saw them a few years back and it was one of my top concerts ever. Amazing show . I need to check out some more Oingo Boingo and Icehouse. I’m looking forward to the Prince Hits albums on vinyl coming out in November. Just hope the price is decent. Prices of new vinyl is so crazy these days. Great stuff Gil ! Have a a great weekend ! Thank you . Chez
Hi Chez, that Tears For Fears pic disc was such a awesome score. I love that song and yes, the pic disc is beautiful. Robert Plant's solo work is impressive. Being the 80's kid I am, I was instantly hooked to some of his singles back in the 80's. The music on that Pretenders double single is so good. Great to listen to. I think you would like Oingo Poingo and Icehouse. 2 very underrated bands from the 80's. The Pet Shop Boys just manage to survive over the years. They have such a great sound to their music. I am assuming the Prince new releases will be on the expensive side. The prices for new vinyl is crazy. I'm very picky when it comes to buying new vinyl. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. Enjoy the rest of your week Chez!
I also love the song "Advice for the young at heart". I bought the 7" single when it was new. "Sowing the seeds..." Is my absolute favourite track by them. "No son of mine" is my favourite Genesis song. I also bought that 7" single when it was new.
Nice finds, I have that PSB 12", The Mission are a great band, bands frontman Wayne Hussey was guitarist on the first Sisters of Mercy album, prior to forming the mission, I recommend their first two albums, Gods own medicine and Children

I wish I had bought the 45's for both songs when they were new. Both are great songs. So glad I scored those singles for my collection!
