The animations in this video are amazing and the depictions of the proteins are accurate but unfortunately it is still too superficial to really understand Photosythesis.
So true haha also it's so weird to wrap my head around the fact that all of that is in not even one mm of the leaf of my plant I don't know if I explained well but it's crazy ! I wish I could understand better what he is saying
Great animation. The diagram of ATP synthase is upside down (Wikipedia). The cylindrical part is where protons enter (cylinder part in lumen) and the bulb part is where ATP is formed (bulb part in stroma). I am a visual learner, sorry for complaining about it in an otherwise great animation.
This is a really great video. I was interested in how photosynthesis actually works on a molecular level and this was a wonderful step to gain a general working knowledge of the mechanism on the path to actually getting into the singular reaction mechanisms. Thank you, the animations make for great visualisation.
Sir,you should keep making these types of videos😊They are really helpful to me because the same thing is in the book but you tell us more details about it which increases our knowledge👍🏻
this vid is so helpful because I am working on my system illustration and this gives me so much info and photosynthesis and is extremely helpful an I never knew this much I feel like I am in 7th grade lol it is so helpful!!
@@fairextl LOL, actually, what nature has done is better. There is no wastage and the system can co-exist with other life. And when it dies, it can be recycled into fertile earth. But if you think the garbage we created, which pollutes the environment and cannot be recycled, is better then you are missing the big picture. We might be able to get more energy from what we created but it doesn't fit into the bigger system and so - is ineffective as a whole.
Short answer, we were created. Evolution, on the other hand, requires a huge amount of faith to believe that million and millions of coincidences took place just to form the world as we know it. No wonder there are many creationist scientists.
@@wewerecreated3960 evelotion is not a religion bro so you cant say it requires "faith" It's based on undeniable facts extracted using the scientific method Doesn't matter weather you believe in it or not
Evolution can explain it too. If you let cells develop a mechanism to turn sunlight into usable energy by themselves, it will take a really long time but sooner or later there will be a solution.
At night time system is rebounding Carbon Dioxide to environment. Trying to stop Carbon Dioxide at night time. That is an one type of puzzle. Keep it in mind please.
Carbon dioxide is essential for life. If you would stop it from forming... plants would suffocate... than all animals too. Finally, the earth would become frozen and lifeless.
Hi, Thomas. I am a researcher for the National Museum of the Philippines. Your video is helpful for the gallery we are developing. Can I get your permission to use this video for the education of our museum's audience?
An atom bonding or breaking a bond with another atom is a chemical reaction (coal furnace). A nucleus fissioning/fusing is a nuclear reaction (nuclear reactor).

why Europe is better than USA LMAO
wow that was way more extreme than I expected when I clicked on this video
This comment is accurate AF. XD
And it is still simplification, just take a look at Calvin cycle it self :)
I was able to follow till the point he said that plants were green...after that he lost me. Plants are clearly way smarter than me.

Had you been regular , you would have hit a million subscribers Thomas !
I always share your videos , keep it up !

When I clicked on this vid I didn’t know a thing about photosynthesis. After the vid I still don’t know a thing about photosynthesis!
Great great video. Awesome animation. Gonna watch again. Thanks. Keep it up
who knew plants are this complicated
In my opinion, you explain too fast, or maybe I'm just a 16 years old student that has no knowledge of biology
No, I'm 23, I study Agroecology, and I have no clue what he is talking about.
I'm 17, medical stream and grade 11 in India... Trust me... I find plants way more complex than humans
Thanks, Thomas it was a great video with fantastic animation
It helped me a lot
:)
Life is incredible
Wow this video totally gave me a "How It's Made" vibe to it.
Absolutely loved it!! :)
The V.O. guy also has a very Brooks T. Moore sound too. "How It's Made: Grad School Edition"
this vid is so helpful because I am working on my system illustration and this gives me so much info and photosynthesis and is extremely helpful an I never knew this much I feel like I am in 7th grade lol it is so helpful!!
plz make more videos on biology topics
Watching this makes me wonder how this could have evolved over a long period of time. . .
Fairex better? Perhaps, but definitely not more efficient. Current photovoltaics are nowhere near the efficiency of plants

This video makes me feel... not so smart lol

Thanks so much for this. I finally understood this simple process.👏👏👏👏😀😀
Great to hear that :)
can we emphasize “simple””
When I saw this on my feed I was like “I need to see this!!!!”
Wow! Cool one. But for this I will definitely need an expert to help with the names! :D
This was very well made:) Good Job
I dont fucking understand!
nice video I love t his viedo
Such a great video
wowwww
extremely useful video, thanks mann
Make animated videos over organic reaction also
Good animation
Yo what’s with the fucking Dilophosaurus? Lmfao
Superb
great
Who did these amazing animations?!
Me :)
People really see this and still think there is no God??
Evolution can explain it too.

Very good video
Everytime this dude said ps1and ps2 i was like what abt ps3 ps4 and the extremely legendary but rare ps5
Wonderful job here. Top notch.
Can you make cellular respiration animation, Professor Dave Explains gives good explanation, it is opposite of Photosynthesis
thanks
The part that kills me is they figured out how this works without computers a long time ago!
Best video
Good
Keep it up 👍
have one the same for mitochondria?

my 5 yr old enjoys these videos

If only we could duplicate this and use in solar technology
I'm thinking about a photosynthesizing CAR! I would call it GREEN-GO!
The byproduct would be sugar cubes ;D and fresh air...
If plants separate water during photosynthesis, where in the cycle of life are hydrogen and oxygen recombined?
Become sugar
When organisms respirate (break up Glucose for energy), they turn it back into Water.
I am 1st viewer of this video
Am I the only one that understands this?
I feel dumb now.
:D honesty is better than being "smart"!
It's amazing study s technique
Thank you plants.
why cant they just put more chloroplasts into a plant
Ilike PIE! O
If the atoms are separated wouldn't that make plants fission reactors?
An atom bonding or breaking a bond with another atom is a chemical reaction (coal furnace). A nucleus fissioning/fusing is a nuclear reaction (nuclear reactor).
The scientific validity of this video came into question the moment a Dilophosaurus ate a leaf.
proton gradient not protein gradient @ 3:56
It's called Intelligent Design. Excellent animation.
