My mother committed suicide and my father abandoned me when I was a small child. I didn't realize it until decades later, but when this happened I tore my soul in half and made a covenant w/ hell and death. It's a paradox, but I sacrificed my soul to try to save myself. I eventually became a christian and at the moment of my salvation I saw the heavens opened and saw Jesus speaking w/ the Father. I still stuggle w/ pride because I used it to balance out the feelings of worthlessness I used to be afflicted with. This is a stronghold that can only be broken by prayer and fasting.
@Excel I have had a terrible struggle w/ pride recently, taking credit for my own accomplishments instead of giving glory to God. God commanded me to fast and, Praise God! I just broke my fast after the stronghold of pride was broken. Please pray and ask God to give you the gift of fasting.

Chaz Bell - Yes - it's important to pray for an enemy. Also, Jesus said to love them. If there's someone who's particularly difficult to love, I find it helps to think of the small child that person used to be - for ex, the 3-year-old that that person used to be. That child is still within that person, & I find it helps to feel love from the heart towards that child within that person. In praying for enemies, I also like to ask God in Yeshua/Jesus's name that He will open their eyes to the error of their ways, and because Jesus taught us that we must be humble, I then also pray that if I'M wrong about anything, God will show Me. It's also good to ask God to help them understand Jesus and the gospel and save their soul.
No human can tempt God...we are not on the same level as God who is above us. Nothing in the eyes of God is new. As for Devil..we are notbon level par with that one...he wants what we have which is God's light our souls...he has no way of getting the knowledge of life...but he can enslave the soul by our evil doing.

Every single time I have been intensely stressed about something & finally realize I need to leave it in Gods hands then pray telling him exactly that, I genuinely 100% of the time end up amazed how things worked out.Truthfully. No exaggerating. The Lord is there for us, we just need genuinely let him into our hearts & repent!

Yep...as we grow to maturity in Christ....our spirit has been born (again) of his Spirit, we have his Word and Holy Spirit to reveal truth to us that will renew our mind (soul), and the promise of a glorified body when Jesus appears at the rapture. The problem is our body didn’t change we have the same flesh we always had and it will want to do the same things we have done before. Then there’s our mind, it wasn’t born again either that’s why it needs to be renewed by Gods word the Bible and anointed scriptural teaching. Not opinions social reform or anything else. Satan has to main weapons fear and deception but we have the mind of Christ and the Holy Spirit in us to help us see the truth! Satan knows we have authority over him in Christ but a lot of Christians don’t know it. Read the Bible and kick the devil out ha. Not that I do everything perfect yet either.

There is so much in the books of the Bible that can make a person feel completely ashamed and guilty just for being alive to the point they might just commit suicide. The Bible is comprised of many books written by many men from different times, backgrounds and upbringings that all had different experiences and even certain motives. SOME of the words may be INSPIRED by what some people call "God", but not actual words spoken by the ONE ultimate True Creator of the Universe and beyond. Is there a thread of Truth throughout the books of the Bible? Of course there is. Just like all other ancient and sacred texts that came long before the Bible ever existed. And just like all other ancient and sacred texts, they thread of Truth weaves through a lot of lies and deception. If a person is actually reading and studying their Bible, this would become obvious. People also don't realize the etymology of much of the words and language used at the time. For example, two seemingly important words that people mistake for something else and therfore miss the message of what is being said. "Christ" is not a name. It is a descriptive word or a title that was given to many people. It means "anointed one" which also means to be a "SEE'ER". To "SEE life as it truly is" to "SEE beyond the illusion" of oppositionand separation. "Satan" is also not a name, but again, a descriptive word and title given to those that "opposed" life and "separated" life. And to "Sin" means to 'miss the mark' or 'miss the point'.

I used to be a gossip. I talked bad about people and it fed my ego. I didn't care but then it got back to somebody or they overheard me running my yap. Also, I have seen it in church and I have felt the effects as a target of gossip. I pray for those involved. I done held grudges before. I have learned in recovery to pray blessings upon those who I've grudge against. It works! I done watched them be blessed and I have been blessed as a result. I don't know that it helps anything to say this, but you're not alone. :( After I got saved, someone hurt my family and I badly and I said something that was just completely awful, I think I may have lost God for good because of it, but I continue to pray and seek the Lord. I will never give up pursuing Him, unless it be His will. I love God & feel tremendous pain from my actions, but we cannot take back what we've done.

There is so much in the books of the Bible that can make a person feel completely ashamed and guilty just for being alive to the point they might just commit suicide. Is there a thread of Truth throughout the books of the Bible? Of course there is. Just like all other ancient and sacred texts that came long before the Bible ever existed. People also don't realize the etymology of much of the words and language used at the time. For example, two seemingly important words that people mistake for something else and therfore miss the message of what is being said.
"Christ" is not a name. It is a descriptive word or a title that was given to many people. It means "anointed one" which also means to be a "SEE'ER". To "SEE life as it truly is" to "SEE beyond the illusion" of oppositionand separation.

I don't know that it helps anything to say this, but you're not alone. :( After I got saved, someone hurt my family and I badly and I said something that was just completely awful, I think I may have lost God for good because of it, but I continue to pray and seek the Lord.
