- Strawburry17 wanted to create a Super Mario Maker level that her younger self would want to play? We say mission accomplished!
Check out her original level (“Sneaky Sneak”) in Super Mario Maker for Wii U and hit “Like” if it gets your vote. The person whose level gets the most “Likes” by September 9th, 2015 will be declared the Super Creator.

Super Mario Maker launches in stores and in the Nintendo eShop on Wii U on the 11th of September.

this level just seems like a cluster of things, with no purpose. also, not to be a pessimist, but I hope Nintendo realizes how much bias there will be, with the voting.

This level gets my vote because of how many little details went in. It's harder to make an easy level small details then it is to make a tough and boring one.
I loved this level. I'll be voting for this one.
I'd put her level in 3rd.
It's not really a traditional Mario level where the goal is just to beat it, and I kind of respect that since Mario Maker opens up those possibilities.
Glad Nintendo is partnering with these youtuber. It shows they are more interested in us uploading content to youtube. More sales for them after all. :)

I'll give it one thing, it sure looks like something a little kid would make.

Hm. The level looks and 'feels' (as much as I can from here) like a bonus level more than anything. The kind you'd get as a reward for hitting special conditions, you know.
Hadn't heard of Strawburry17 before this video. Definitely a unique level. I like that it wasn't completely straightforward and that it had some side things you could explore. But it might have been too busy, for my taste at least.
I actually really really liked this level. Apparently some people in the comments are confused - there was never any direction given to make the levels "Hard" at all. The creator's goal was to make a level with explorable paths and secrets and she succeeded. I liked this stuff in Mario World too.

Gotta say that this is the worst one. There's not really any focus in the design, and most of the level can be skipped easily. And there's no reason to endure the hardest part of the level (boos and thwomps section) if you can just kill all the lakitus and then float to the goal.
(The initials in the top right were also a pretty bland easter egg. Again, kill lakitu, and go up. I bet you could really hide some easter eggs in creative ways with what you can do with hidden blocks and doors in this game. Oh well, I bet she had some fun creating her level, though. Glad to see everyone having fun in these videos.)

I liked this level, it was different, it wasn't necessarily hard or anything but it was fun to see that there was so many things to explore. I mean, i kinda want to see what she hid in this level honestly.

It wasn't terrible, but basically just a cluster and messily made, like one of the levels you'd find on the "easy" setting of 100 mario challenge.

The idea of hidden areas and easter eggs is interesting but yeah this level looks like she was just putting random things in and the whole thing kinda lacks structure.

I get if she wanted to make the level have exploration and it does look like you could choose to explore but what's the point if you don't get anything for exploring like there really is no point unless your trying to kill your self since the exploration part seems dangerous
This is the level a little girl would have loved to play. It's full of coins, death, and makes no sense.
It feels like one of the Star World stages in Super Mario World (coincidentally). The end is right there, but there's more stuff above and in pipes. Pretty cool!

This level was pretty legit.
I vote for this level. Don't care about perfection. I just want it have some fun challenging gameplay. This level appeals to the young at heart who actually grew up in the old school nintendo days.
I feel that this level can be hard or easy depending on how you want to approach it, you can end it quickly or you can try and explore but be punished or rewarded for it.
Kinda on a messy side but I kinda liked the risk vs reward aspect of the level. But I feel overall compared to others this does have some flaws.

+GameDjeenie Don't you like getting coins in a sidescrolling Mario game? And Nintendo actually made a Mario game for the DS where there was a powerup that would GIVE you coins. I think the game was New Super Mario Bros. 2 for the DS.
I am sure there are going to be a lot of levels that feature a massive amount of coins to collect.
In Mario Maker, coins don't even matter. Lives don't matter.... I was just making an analogy about youtubers that loves money so much, they create 2, 3 or more channels...

I know. I just find it funny that all of a sudden, since UA-cam is a thing. A lot of people tried the lazy way out and "work" on UA-cam doing videos... And creating 2-3 channels to milk even more money. Don't worry, I know nobody's forcing anyone to watch, but when you realize some of them make more money than any real job that saves/help lives... that's where it's f***** up...
How many jobs out there actually help/save lives? Those types of jobs aren't a major portion of the job market.
They make multiple channels not to milk money but to make their channels more organized. They have the game playing channel for the people to watch them play games or hear their reviews and they have the main channel for whatever their channel is mainly about such as cooking, vlogs, or whatever. It really depends on the channel.

This is exactly the type of level that I fear the community boards will be flooded with.
Fun fact: In the original Super Mario World, there were no singular tiles which were grassy on two sides.

I vote Strawburry17 all because of the exploring aspect.
While I like the thought behind it, the secret area is impossible to escape due to only having a limited mushroom supply and the Lakitu's were excessive. Sorry to say, but I consider this the lowest of the 5.
For somebody who's played Kaizo's 1-3, you think Jirard would know to Spin Jump on Thwomps.

Eh, the beginning was alright, but the rest of the level didn't really have much thought put into it. Especially the places with the coin spam.

In my opinion this level should've got more likes than iJustine and Geek & Sundry, why for theirs look too lame & simple looking. However, I have no complaints of Jirard's & MatPat's levels being in top leads.

In my opinion this is Way to cluttered to be a level. it looks like it should be in an exploration platform rpg then a mario game.
***spoilers below***
Firstly the goal is right in the first area which defeats the purpose of the other side areas. yes it may be difficult to do without said side paths but a) they are not mandatory b) you can still run past and clear a level. Mario games typically use warp pipes as either an entrance secret area or a pass through a wall or another impassible objects to continue the level.
Secondly, as i have said it is cluttered. needless enemy placement (and i have seen kaizo; this isn't a: let's throw in a bunch of enemies to make it harder deal) just for the sake of having stuff. power ups everywhere which defeats any and all consequences of loosing them. and way to much to look at; from a plethora of enemies running around or coins spinning in the air, the eye is distracted as oppose to being guided in this level causing unneeded stress (unlike the a fore mentioned kaizo).
In summary, the creator has a good imagination/creativity but lacks execution. this level is to easy for any "hardcore" fan as they will use exploration to their advantage (as seen in the video) to bypass enemies and hence difficulty within the level and to difficult for beginners as the amount of enemies would throw them into a panic and/or distract them causing death and frustration. The plethora of items and enemies only further this problem as they distract players from seeing further ahead (and by that i mean finding exits/places to jump to) causing unneeded and unintentional frustration.
And I thought IJustine created a random and stupid level... At least Justines had a challenge and wasn't clogged with enemies everywhere.
