I always wonder why when people have the kind of money that the Rothschild family possesses that they would sell all of this jewelry why not just hold onto it for future generations. I do know that the British inheritance tax is brutal but these people would have the best lawyers and accountants in the world may be runoff to live in Switzerland. The Rivier necklace was stunning in the hand of the model. The incredible craftsmanship of all the pieces are gorgeous pieces of history.
The pieces are beautiful, but it is sad they will never be seen again.
They are seen by their current owners.
