Every time I play an SRV or Mayer style lick I smile... I can’t imagine what it would feel like to do that in front of thousands of people. Powerful.

If you're a critic then do yourself a favor and pay the $40 to go to his concert and come out of there not feeling like it's the best $40 you ever spent. No great light shows or anything...just pure passion and music

that performance to me, is oneof the purest and honest one an artist can have, to lose yourself in a song that you have played hundreds of times, and for the crowd to see the passion and intensity of the performace...is brillant! I would go to any JM concert if I get the chance!! GREAT PERFORMER!

That is just his way of showing how he feels the music. He expresses it with his body movements and facial expressions.
