You don’t wanna flood your conference with mediocre teams just to get in the state of Texas. I’d rather have one really good Texas team then three mediocre ones.

Traylor won't be there long enough to see this move if it even happens.

I played HS football at Guyer; just go on UA-cam and look at their professional-level offseason societies and hype videos they’ve put out showcasing their players and facilities that quite frankly blow most non-FBS colleges out of the water. It’s not just coaches in Texas above everyone else; it’s also the financial investment by the communities and districts

If this HS merits $10M per year, the Pac will consider it. :D
UTSA is, what, the 10th school in Texas? Not that I knock the San Antonio market, just that I doubt UTSA carries a significant part of it on TV. What the Pac needs are school brands that push $15 million per year. Frankly, it has to be $15M if we want it to go to the ETZ.
I know a lot of people out here in the PTZ have heard about Memphis and Tulane by now. The more knowledgeable whispers right now are split on whether this will clear $10M, which means the math may fail for AAC schools AND Texas schools.
The quality of the recruiting base is secondary to your ability to turn on the TV and watch conference games that kick off at 9:30pm Central Time. I frankly wonder if they’d demand a hypothetical Texas school to kick off at 9:30pm. And is that any more ridiculous than when Pac-12 officials floated a 9am kickoff time to fans 2-3 years before everything went to fecal matter?

Nah, UTSA is moving on from those kind of Texas teams that have done nothing for a century. I understand it helps your Baylor bears to keep UTSA associated with those baseball and basketball schools but UTSA is a football school. The 3rd biggest school starting in 2026 only behind Texas and Texas A&m with its 1.1 billion dollar endowment. Txst, North Texas, and Rice should be in the American and prove which bottom Texas team is going to take football seriously and win a conference championship. It's good for them while it's good for UTSA to move on from the bottom feeder teams. Y'all bundling UTSA with them is the reason why you lose games like SMU and TCU because y'all can't help but push trash Texas games without tarnishing the reputation of both schools. It's better for the brand to not play bottom feeder teams in this era college football. It is what it is.

Memphis , Tulane and UNLV are the brands with value. The Texas school you mention have small budgets. UTSA ' s budget is about half the size of
of the PAC 12 schools. Teams need a budget if a least $ 60 a year to be consuder for the new PAC

You say that like you made a point or something... Texas is the #1 team in the nation. They will beat ANYONE by 30+, UTSA shouldn't be held accountable for that.
