Just noticed you are also into SDR and truck tracking. Wow...what a coincidence...have had a police scanner for 30 years and familiar with many forms of comms including emergency trunking systems. Cool!

I'm only getting one song file even though I copied all the tracks, and that one song file doesn't even play, it's posted at time 4:10, like the first song. My DOS results were exactly like yours, but it still only created one "single" track...the first song.
didnt work. Did EXACTLY what you did Win10 copy /b *.mp3 output.mp3. Its larger, check. In VLC, only the first audio mp3 file played, then it ended. In Windows Media Player it says ERROR.
after combining 115 MP3 files in total of 04:34:51 the result file which is also at the correct size 258mb plays the first combined file only when getting to the 2nd it just displays dots as if trying to read or something...
anyways, if your like me and don’t see the open command prompt window here thing, you can just click on the bar that shows your location (to the left of the search bar) in the folder with the files and type cmd then press enter
Hi @John I tried doing this method and the files merged and the size of the combined file is equal to the individual files but when I play the combined file it does not include all of the content of the individual files
Mine either but I think that's just the default problem of windows 10. Just open cmd and type "cd [File path here]" to get to the folder. To find the file path, just copy and paste the contents of the address bar when you open the file in explorer.

Although I had to use the CMD from scratch and change the directory by doing: cd "file directory name" example cd C:\Users\bgonzales\Downloads\Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run Copy and then doing the copy /b *.mp3 test123.mp3 after. Your command prompt formula works on my mp3 files, but not on my WMA files. The odd part is that the size of the new WMA file shows that 2 files HAVE been merged, yet only the first file plays. Might you or anyone reading this know how I can get the new merged file to play completely?

only copies first file in list when trying to combine .wav files
No issues with mp3 but it will only copy the first file for wav it seems.

Thanks John Miller! This way I have joined 29 mp3 songs in one file within seconds... This worked on Windows7 and NOT on Windows 10..

Same issue for me on Win 10. I have 1 large file but when playing it is only file.
this is easily the best way to do this. takes a second to fuse 800 small audio files into one

My File Explorer > File did not have "Open Command Prompt" as one of the options.

Win+R type CMD and then Enter
Highlight the address in the address bar, type cmd, and press enter. It'll open a command prompt in that directory.
