See I noticed the beard, but chose not to bring attention to it because its really inconsequential to the video overall and it doesn't really take away from my enjoyment of the video
I'm curious about his thoughts on that episode too. Personally, I loved it. It was a Starlight episode for one thing, and those are rarely bad, and I liked that it was dedicated to the Royal Sisters and their own personal relationships with each other.
I loved the episode because we finally got depth into Celestias character and how she found Twilights friends in order for her to start her journey ^^ Awesome work guys ^^

To be fair...Thorax is as good or bad a choice as any of the Changelings since the only leader they've ever known is gone. Although, sometimes those who are used to doing things a certain way *could* benefit from someone who's inexperienced, but has new ideas. It almost worked in Transformers Armada.
I feel like that was a bit of an unfair complaint to make with Thorax, he became a king literally an episode ago. We're not given an exact time frame between the finale and this premire but can't have been too long a wait to do this celebration. So yeah I can see Thorax still needing to adjust to things and get comfy with his new position.
I mean Thorax was the only good changeling soooo... Also outing any of the other changelings in charage wouldn't be fair considering no other changeling had any experience in friendship also. I don't think any other changeling would have ever given up their love for fear of dying of starvation. ~ Mintstar
Hm. Now I'm curious as to what would count as a good leader in Josh's book, just because I want to know if qualities I thought might make for a good leader are correct or not. With Thorax, I can understand the annoyance, but I agree with the others who commented here - I might just be a bit more forgiving about it cause he's new and no other changeling has been shown to have the chops to replace Chrysalis or even challenge her in the first place besides Thorax. Also, when I was watching the Power Rangers movie (which I legit enjoyed when watching it, but can understand others not liking it), I didn't get the sense that Jason was a bad leader (inexperienced, sure, cause he's a teenager and going after Rita without being able to morph was clearly a bad idea - something that they all acknowledged in character during the movie no less -, but not necessarily bad - he was the one making the calls as the team was forming and got the others to listen to him as I recall, standing up for the others - like when he was defending Billy or talking to Kimberly about her past - and he also was the one to mobilize the teenagers against Rita when they got kicked out by Zordon and Rita was killing people). In addition, I didn't get the impression that anyone else in the team could work as a leader besides him - Trini and Kimberly are too slow to trust the others (specifically thinking about the campfire scene where Kimberly refused to explain what was up with her and Trini's general questioning of whether or not they were friends) Billy's too panicy (thinking about the times he was talking nonstop out of nervousness when he was in a stressful situation), and Zack is too reckless (his joyride of the zords). And I doubt that if they could just go find better candidates for the ranger coins on such short notice - or that the ranger coins would have chosen the teens in the first place if they weren't the best option available at the time. (Of course, maybe my sense of good leadership is just off or something and my assessments here are bad ones, which is why I would like to have some sort of comparison/definition of what makes a good leader).
Honestly I thought Josh was harsh with Thoarx but at the same time I can understand where he is coming from as well. I mean Thoarx just became king in a episode and he doesn't have any training at all.

It really gets under my skin how often they do expository dialogue in this show. As if they think kids are too stupid to remember what happened in previous episodes. At the very least they could start trying harder to make the exposition sound more natural.
