Such a nice refresher of the South Downs Way! We camped and backpacked the first time we walked in 2015, and we found lots of really nice campsites. At the time we went, we didn't know the concept of "wild-camping," so we called ahead and reserved each night that we could, and stayed in B&Bs or inns when there was not camping available. I am really looking forward to walking it again! Thanks for your videos and commentary. Useful and nice, both. Wishing you well!
Thank you. I try and wild camp as much as I can. Sometimes it’s not possible based on where I find myself at the end of a day and I drop into campsites. The second day on this walk was a long day as there was a train strike on the day I was due to get back, so I had to hurry up!
Great recap. Thanks for sharing. I’ve got to get back and finish your other videos. And the walking poles take a nice bit of pressure off your knees when going down decents as well. Happy Trails
Thanks for sharing.😊
Thanks for watching!
Thanks, very useful info as always 👍This walk looks like one for the list🙂
It’s OK. I prefer the Cotswold Way. Seven Sisters is the best bit
Thanks for your pleasant commentary and insights. Always enjoyable. Be well. Be safe. Wishing you peace and good fortune. Happy Trails!

I rarely see walkers with poles, and if I do, it’s older walkers with one pole
