I saw Bobby at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco in the eighties with Richie Cole. I wasn't old enough to be at the club legitimately at the time, but it was one of the most inspirational shows I have seen in my life. As a musician and pianist I thank you for posting this!!
Thank you for posting this. I had the good fortune of meeting Bobby Enriquez in Chicago a number of years ago and I still love to hear him play. I remember like it was yesterday when he played Masquerade and I got to shake his hand.
I remember in the 70s Bobby playing Lewers street Waikiki , I just blew into Hawaii from New Jersey and saw him smokin with Owen on percussions. What was the name of the club anyone? Oh yes, Keoni's I think.
A filipino pianist in the genre' of bobby enriquez may not yet be born as of this date so there will be a successor. About thirty years ago, he had a concert at the CCP, I had to make a trip from las pinas to watch this genius from the higher seat of the concert hall.
Thank you so much for posting this. I love his kind of jazz. And he is uch a great ambassador of jazz. Sue generis. My favourite is his interpretation of malaguena. It perfectly captures the spirit of that intellectual bastion - Harvard Business Review, whose published works I love so much as well. Thank you for posting this. Please accept my heartfelt gratitude and warmest regards.
Pag Filipino crowd hindi masyadong in yang mga kantang Ipanema. Ang dating mo sintunado sa kanila. Out of 100 people baka sampu lang nakaka appreciate nyan. Kung sa latin countries o America ka pasok yan o kaya five star hotels. You need some connections with the crowd and Ipanema cannot connect the Filipino crowd.
Bobby Enrique's hands are fast and his fingers are very soft. Unbelievable skills on the piano. You're one of a kind , sir !
The finest , and still the wildest , Filipino jazz pianist.👍
My favorite jazz pianist of all time!
Thanks for posting my Papa!!! We all miss him greatly ❤💔❤

Bobby in the 80s and 70s hindi k mn png nabigyan ng National Artist award. U are always a favorite of Bacolodnon in the 70s
I agree, Sir Bobby is a rare species. Filipino pride

Great Artist,Thanks x Up
Je n'entends qu'une chose que ce pianiste était totalement incapable de faire : mal jouer. Merci d'avoir partagé.
Translation: I only hear one thing that this pianist was totally incapable of doing: playing badly. Thanks for sharing.

Dude this was decades ago yumao na si mr. Enriquez lol
nag-iiba na ang panahon
his performance isn’t for connecting with the filipino crowd, it’s to introduce them to a new kind of music aka jazz
HOY LEO BARRIOS INGGIT KA LANG DAHIL SA PANANALITA MO AY TOTOONG SINTONADO KA!
Wish I could see who's on conga drums. Anyone know who it was???
Thanks for the upload. Never seen this before.
