NOS EVERYWHERE YOU LOOK!! Part 2 of the Vintage Motorsports Tour - Featuring Mike Palmgren

- It was too much to fit into 1 video... so we're did 2! In part 1 of our video, we hit three stops on this trike adventure. We sold some fenders, we bought a project 85 250ES merged with a 350D 4x4. Our 3rd stop brought us to the shop of Vintage Motorsports owned by Mike Palmgren. Mike has been in the business of restoring Vintage 2, 3 and 4 wheelers since the mid 90's and is the best in the business. This was seriously an honor to have this 1 on 1 time with Mike and get the behind the scenes look at his shop and see where all the magic happens. There was so much to see and record, it was too much for one video.
So, video 1 ends when we left his shop. Part 2 gives a quick recap of Part 1, then picks up at Mike's home workshop... goes through the shop, the upstairs NOS Stash, some other NOS parts areas, then ends in his office... and honestly.... that probably wasn't even half of what there was to see. You couldn't deal with a more humble, friendly guy than Mike. These 2 videos summarize the 6 hours that Mike spent with us that day. It was being a kid in a candy store... Can't wait to go back!
Thank you Mike and Holly for spending this time with me and Palin. This is a day we're going to remember forever.
If you want to check out what goodies Mike has for sale, check out his ebay store at:

That was a very cool 😎 👍 tour. I'd say he has a plethora of vintage parts. Now I know a good source for parts if I need them.
Great video!!
Thank you! I appreciate that!
Thanks for the Shout Out Also using my fenders on the ATC70 1974
Your name was mentioned quite a bit, on and off camera. AND in talking about August 5th! Would be a pleasure to meet you then if it works out!
@@ThisOldTrike Will have to see if we can make it . Thanks Again Andrew
Wow I can’t believe the trike stuff and i love hearing him talk about how he got all this I’m mind blown the WV Honda dealer he went to omg just wow ❤
It's crazy, isn't it!! And he's so nonchalant about it!
Omg it is legit!!! And I knew it was Oat - Soo !!!!!
There you have it! Donny Buysall has spoken!
My stickers came in 🎉🎉🎉🎉😊
Impressive collection of parts but his restoration skills are out of this world. Spectacular, simply spectacular.
Exactly! He is absolutely THE BEST!
So many rare parts, it takes someone who knows about this stuff to truly appreciate it all
It was seriously astonishing... you could make a drinking game out of how many times I say wow...
The man 😎👍.
Yes sir he is!!
@@ThisOldTrike I'm curious if Mikey will start reproducing the light guards for the 85/86 ATC 250R 😎
Who knows what that mastermind has up his sleeve!
Kawasaki your favorite lol yes yes it is
lol
@ThisOldTrike awesome vid brother. He has so much cool stuff. It was nice of him to let you share his shop with us
Oh my goodness, the parts....the machines....thanks to Mike for allowing all of us to view as well, such a privilege. Amazing. Attention to detail is what separates Mike from most, the only way to do things! Great vid Preston!
Thanks brother! Mike did not disappoint!!! I'm not even sure it's in his vocabulary!
That did not disappoint! What a collection
Also, the date code on tires are week/year this helps when they have a bad batch they can narrow it down by the week instead of by the entire month
Incredible! Great content from great people in the ATC world. Thanks man!
Glad you liked it Rick! Thanks for watching!
Wow! What a treat!! I just realized my heart is beating twice as fast now as it was at the beginning of your tour! Amazing! Thank you so very much for Sharing Preston and Mike! I thoroughly enjoyed this video!!
Awesome! Thank you for watching Jason!
His commitment and dedication to our community is truly unprecedented.
Epic video! I could live there for a year and have multiple machines built from all them parts. Thanks Preston for sharing, and mike for letting you into his inner sanctum.
Absolutely! Endless supply of parts!!
Awesome video! Glad to have people like him keeping all ATC’s alive!
Amen to that.
This was amazing, thank you Peston, Mike and Palin ! ✌️
Thank you for watching!!
Great video! Been there many times over the years, always a fun trip.
Your name came up off camera when we were talking about that bob cat!
Awesome. So very cool.
It was pretty amazing.
Skips Honda home town dealer for me.. Great score Mike. That place did close and locked its doors and so much stuff untouched for so many years...
Wow. That's crazy. From the pictures it definitely looked like a stinking time capsule!
Very cool. I'm in love with the dealership posters.
They were everywhere!! It was crazy!
*43 days, he was close 🤏
Lol. PJ said he was way off...
Very nice Rabbit hole😉👽👍, love it🚲💥💨💨💨
Thanks man!
So where all the nos parts are up stairs in the attic looking area. That is heated and cooled or just air from downstairs cooling it?
It was the air from outside that was cooling it. That's definitely and unconditioned space up there.
Lots of cool stuff.. Almost like a very interesting antique store.. 👍👍
There's marks all over his floor from my jaw dropping and hitting it...
43:45 pre production literature again
Mmhmm
@@ThisOldTrike I love the anomalies
Holy cow! Drool!
Great video!
Right!? Thanks!!
So much awesome stuff
I didn't even see it all... left some meat on the bone for a part 3!
He doesn't like loose change lol
Hates it.
That 74 ATC 70 is beautiful
Yes sir. Looked even better in person!!
What's the story with the RED 250R engine? 1981 or 1982? Mike said 22? Or maybe I misheard and he said 82.
That's Ryan Mallon's motor. We talk about that in Part 1. We were joking about it being a 22...
I thought you fellas might be joking 🤣
You got me.
Best video ever
Ha! Thank you!!
Wow! Just WOW
How many times did I say wow in this video??
That fender wouldnt happent to be a prosport / lemans by parts unlimited by any chance ? awesome video Preston.O yea well Preston I have to say you made it to heaven.
I'll ask Mike and see what he says!
That’s just cool !
Super cool
Mike is so spot on. 200Ms should not have rear racks!!! ;)
lol exactly Tim. If you want racks buy a big red !! LOL
@@mikepalmgren8185 I love the comment, if it has a rack, it's just a big red!
Here in Canada the 200m rack differs slightly from the Big Red rack. Here the Big Red rack has reflector mounts and the 200m does not as the reflectors are mounted on the grab bar. Trivial, I know but thought I would throw it in here.
@@jasonchannen9401 Nice ! 👍 I think its safe to say nothing is considered trivial around here. :) 🇨🇦
Poppycock!
I predict this video gets 100k views. Minimum
That would be a first!
Cool, I had a dingo cart
Did you buy it from Mike, Pete?
@@ThisOldTrike no, it was not one of the two he got, lol.
I see where it all went
All of it...
@@ThisOldTrike every last piece
Jonsered chainsaw guy, I like him
Well, Jonsered chainsaw thermometer guy...
WOW !!!!!
Right?!?
Wow.
Thanks! Mike's setup is amazing...
The number of dealers that closed makes wonder how many dealers there were back then
Yeah, it's a very good question..
If he is personally delivering that 74 70 to binky, tell Mike to drop by the secret underground ATC lair
I'll let him know!
So does Mike have a website I could buy from? I saw all kinds of stuff I need
Yes, check the video description for a link to his ebay store and actual website.
I'm humbled by the fact that Mike has seen my videos
He's watching you!
Hey
About time you showed up!
2nd! 🏆
Howdy partner. 😉
Awesome video!
Great video!!
Thank you!
