I admire your dedication and positive outlook even when you are unwell. I know you will accomplish all your goals because you are consistently consistent. Slow and steady…. Kind and thoughtful ….. aware and mindful ❤❤❤
I really think its great that you got this door cleared again even though you were feeling sick. I look forward to seeing the rest of the room done in other videos soon. If you have some hooks, when you have finished decluttering you could put one on the wall by the door for the keys- it will help you family get out safely if there is ever a fire.
I did the math on how long I think (as realistically as possible) it will take me to declutter each room/area of my house. ~35 days. 😅 I started the year off thinking I could crank it out everyday and have it done in early February. 😅 Some days, I literally do not have the time or energy, so I floated my goal to the end of March, keeping track of my goals and days I am able to work on things still.😊
You were focusing on the basement and garage and made great progress. It's really hard to keep up with every room in a house. I can't do it. Some space is always going to slide. Taking care of yourself always has to come first. Get well soon!
Happy new year! Hope everyone is feeling ok soon. 4:40 Pleaee, please, please just toss these receipts!!!! Thermal paper contains chemicals that cannot be removed during recycling. Receipt is NOT for recycling.
Hope you feel better soon. You have inspired me to declutter while honoring my body. I am 78 years old and I have to take things slowly but I have accomplished very much decluttering since the first day of the new year. I managed to defrost my freezers and I purged much very expired veggies. I figured 2023 was time to let things go. I am so proud of my accomplishments. It makes me feel good just to peek at my freezers all nice and tidy. Progress, not perfection. God bless you and your family.
Maybe you could put a trash bin for recyclables next to that trash can by the door. It seems a place you tend to put them. Might as well put a bin there and then once the bin is full take it out to the garage. I hope you get well soon 😊
Thank you so much for sharing your journey! You have helped me to be kinder to myself and to understand some loved ones that have some hording tendencies. You are awesome! Get well soon!
I’ve been following you a long while so I know what that laundry room looked like before. You can reset it fairly easily now. Just take care of yourself and feel better soon ❣️ I have a laundry basket in my closet for declutterred items. I’m putting things in it each day but will not do a final count until the last day of January.
@ahoardersheart Dear Ms Heart I am a recovering hoarder due to domestic violence. Plus horrific child abuse so your Grace and kindness to yourself is real recovery. I have sold my houses and big clean up first. Now level 4 hoarder in 3 yrs as I fell broke hip etc. So more trauma 40 degrees heat..your 100. So I'm praying for cooler weather tomorrow so I can tidy living room. Thank you for replying. I have a lonely life. But God is good.blessings lots.
You make me smile because you give a lovely face and voice to hoarding. Thank you for being so candid in your journey; it will help others, like myself, who also struggle with hoarding tendencies to begin to see changes in our thinking that will help us heal from our hoarding. It may even help others who don't have that struggle to have empathy for those of us who do. It is my goal to deal with my stuff before I die so me and my husband won't leave a huge burden on my family when we die. I will turn 73 in May, my husband is 75 on Jan 9th. My crafting has caused a huge hoarding issue and my husband and I loved to garage sale hunt for items to resell when I didn't decide I HAD TO KEEP IT!!! The Pandemic sure put a halt to the buying and selling and my husband's health isn't what it used to be. We almost lost him to Covid Pneumonia and he just isn't healthy and is in lots of pain from severe arthritis It is obvious and of great concern to us both and I'm sure to my family that we are running out of time and energy to deal with our STUFF before we die. I feel that this is our year both for you and us!!! May God Richly Bless your and your family with a full and speedy flu recovery and May all your hoarding come under God's healing touch. My 2025 focus is to concentrate most of my time and energy into my relationship with God and to trust that He will help me to achieve healing from hoarding. He is my only HOPE. I figure it is within His power to give us the time and energy to declutter the hoarded mess. Thank you for being part of God's ministry to hurting hoarders of the world. We love you!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful story with us! That is my soul’s purpose to humanize hoarding disorder ❤️🙏🏼❤️ please that I am cheering you on every step of the way as you declutter 🦄💜🌟🙏🏼
Miss Heart ❤️ wishing you and your family a quick and speedy recovery 🤞🙏 We all know you will achieve all you want to achieve this year because of your determination. Considering how sick you are you have done a great job at the back door. I took three bags of donations to the charity shop yesterday and I’m delighted with myself. Mind yourself and have a great week. Mary, Joes wife 🙇♀️👏💪👍💐🙏🐈🦄
Hi , the last time I had the Flu, I was in my youth, say, 10- 14 .Every part of my body ached and I thought I was going to die. So if you can declutter while you're sick , you are Super Woman ... Go Girl!!!
This is the year of collective healing! It sometimes takes mental clutter rising to the top, maybe manifesting in physical clutter, to clear it out for good. Please, get as much rest as you need!
Feel better soon. Terrible to get a bad cold or the flu over the Xmas season especially if it was the whole family. Looking forward to seeing you tackle the laundry room. Have a great and decluttered 2025.
Glad you are starting to feel better. I also started feeling sick Christmas Eve with a cough which is persisting. For a few days it made me feel down and I didn't want to do anything. Starting to come out of it and started your Decluttering Challenge. 18 books on day one and 2 sets of sheets on day two. Looking to see what I can declutter now for day three. Your print out is very inspirational! Looking forward to longer videos when you are feeling better.
I hope everyone is feeling better!! We all had the flu last Christmas. It started a few days before and then we just passed it around. I am working on reclaiming the kitchen table!! It has been the dumping spot over the holidays.
You are the best model for decluttering as you show a normal person on bad days can still do something if only small and show progress. Hope you and your family get well quickly. ❤
Great job! You are such a good example of giving yourself grace while still holding yourself accountable. I am glad I’m not the only one who had a basket of “stuff that was on the counter” to put away after the holidays. 😊You’ve come a long way and if you have an area that keeps getting recluttered, I wonder if you can look at a more preventative system of some kind. For instance, getting a bigger recycling bin for the laundry room . I have found that sometimes what I want to use a space for doesn’t reflect how I do use the space and I have learned not to fight too hard against how I actually use it. Feel better soon!
Getting rid of the stands with shelves across from washer and dryer could be a step to keep from cluttering up laundry room. Maybe putting the shelves in basement for craft area. 😊
I’m glad to see your determination is strong in 2025. I hope you and your family feel better soon. Then you can reset the different areas of the house relatively quick.
I feel like your recycling/trash and stuff always gets stuck at your back door. Would you consider putting your recycling in the garage because it’s attached to the house and putting it in bins near the door to put it there. Or putting two bins in your laundry room and have them on rollers or bins with wheels so when those bins are full roll them out and empty with the empty roll bins in your shed/garage? I think this will really help my husband has adhd and I noticed a pile up at our back door. So I have two roll bins back there and two roll bins that our house comes with in the garage. He just rolls the bin out and empties once it’s full and has cut down on piles at the back and fights lol
We got the flu too and today I'm barely able to get up and clean a little. Thanks for inspiring me. I was bummed starting out behind and sick. Kids go back to school mon so I am forcing to get our laundry done. Thank you for all your year round inspiration. Get well soon!!
I have done quite a bit. Back on last Sat. I cleaned out and redolud all my Christmas bins. Down to about 5 . Filled tubs by room and put pictures in the tub of where abd how I decorated. Tgen next day not feeling well. I have a huge bix of stuff to take to thrift store. Probably 50 or more items. Did not count them. But there were at least 2 days I did nothing! But I did purge about 30 items on Thurs. 2 drawers and a cabinet. Just hope I feel better soon. Have not done anything today. Maybe purse is a great idea
Yaayy for unblocking the doorway! I 🥳👏👏👏👏👏🦄 I had a turbo tidy tub from the holidays, too, and a pile of cardboard boxes and other packaging blocking the space by my side of the bed - it landed there when I hastily wrapped gifts. I’ve cleaned it up now, and no longer have to crawl into to bed!😁 Life happens, then you clean up - good for you for not waiting long to clean up! And you’re not a level 4 hoarder, your house just has too many doors!😁 Hope you and your family feel better soon!
There is so much going around right now. Hubby and I got Covid over Christmas. It’s definitely been a different holiday this year. Hope you feel better.
At least 5 of us in whole family have had the upper respiratory crud. I think mine is bronchittus. I do not feel that bad! Dry cough and no energy! Going on 5 days! Feel better!
I hope you and the family are back to 💯 soon! I’ve subscribed from nearly the beginning and enjoy cheering you on from the sidelines. Regarding changing patterns and self sabotage; I know you know of Dana K White. I’m wondering if while you’re still ‘down’ sick a little if reading How to Manage Your Home Without Losing your Mind or Decluttering at the Speed of Life would help get you on a better track for the year. Dana and her 5 Step process reasonate So Much for me! I think they are both e-books too. Anyhow, I’ll keep watching and cheering you on! I wish you so much decluttering success this year! ❤🎉😊
Get well soon! I also catched a bad cold over the last days. Yay! Sometimes doing one little thing is changing how you feel about the whole house and a blocked door is clearly one of these cases. Well done!
Get well soon! All of You, and wishing You and Your family a healthy, happy and full of accomplishments 2025! It hurts to see you still weak from the flu, but so happy you had the strenght and as always, got more strenght, cleaning this door area! A big, big hug! Cheers!❤
Watching this while I also have the flu. I haven't been able to get up and do much of anything. Proud of you for decluttering while not pushing yourself too hard. ❤
Im definitely doing the 30 day challenge! Im not keepimg count but it feels good seeing things go out the door! 7 items went on my buy nothing and alot i threw away or put in the donation bin.
I hope you feel better soon I've been sick for a week straight it's horrible, I hope you get better soon lots of rest plenty of drinks with hunni. Extra hugs your way
I have ADHD and also struggle with hoarding. I recommend to finish sorting the basement to be used as the central area to funnel like items of things you're keeping as you declutter other areas of your home. By having the basement be the central hub, it'll help keep the decluttering progress organized and clear up spaces and hotspots, and help when you do your version of the KonMari method of the categorized bins
Hi lovely, So sorry you are sick. I was a professional organiser and have done alot of work with hoarders. I think the towns giving page is a trap that creates more work and takes up valuable time. It is slowing you down. Your heart is in the right place but it also plays into your hoarding headspace. I would cut your work load, speed up the process and bag it all up and donate.
Happy New Year and I hope you all feel better soon. I hope Miss Pepper has been giving you all lots of healing purrs. I bet cleaning your purse out gave you a huge boost. I think I will do mine today too!
Blocking a door is serious, glad you recognize that is level 4 and dangerous. Good prioritizing.
Yes my friend!!!! I need to make sure we don’t block that doorway ❤️🙏🏼❤️
I admire your dedication and positive outlook even when you are unwell. I know you will accomplish all your goals because you are consistently consistent. Slow and steady…. Kind and thoughtful ….. aware and mindful ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for your sweet encouraging message, it means a lot to me and keeps me motivated to never give up ❤️🙏🏼❤️
Get well soon. Get some rest and take your time with the decluttering. Baby steps daily. 💜🙏
Thank you so much my dearest friend ❤️🙏🏼❤️
I really think its great that you got this door cleared again even though you were feeling sick. I look forward to seeing the rest of the room done in other videos soon.
If you have some hooks, when you have finished decluttering you could put one on the wall by the door for the keys- it will help you family get out safely if there is ever a fire.
Thank you so so much my friend, I hope you have a happy, healthy and wonderful New Year 🥳🎊🎆🎉
Rest up and get well. We love you! I have been doing the 30 day declutter challenge. I have thrown away more than required so far.
Yessssss!!! You are doing amazing and I’m proud of youuuuu ❤️🙏🏼❤️

I hope you feel better soon. Great mini win. 💖
Feel better soon! And good job! My credo with my organizing clients is always "clear paths of egress" FIRST. 💜
Blocking a door to the outside is not only a safety hazard but it blocks the house flow. Hope you feel better soon ♥️
Get well soon. What you’ve already accomplished is sure to make 2025 a great year!
Thank you so much my friend!! I’m so excited for 2025 and hope it’s the best year ever for you too ❤️🙏🏼❤️
Hope you all feel better soon! 2025 is going to be a great year! We got this ❤

I love your optimism! ❤
Thank you - i am not on the hoarder spectrum but do need to declutter and we all were sick so I am getting discouraged. This gave me encouragement!

Hi lovely,
So sorry you are sick.
Get well soon, honey!
Happy New Year and I hope you all feel better soon. I hope Miss Pepper has been giving you all lots of healing purrs. I bet cleaning your purse out gave you a huge boost. I think I will do mine today too!
