Have a 20inch cheap second hand foldable. Love the riding position. Interested in the Giant Idiom but no longer sold new in Taiwan. Gonna go check these out tomorrow at the Taipei Cycling expo
Cool guy and bikes. I've been wanting one for a while but they basically don't exist in New Zealand. Anyone know if it would be possible to build up a lightweight, flat-bar, geared mini-velo using a bmx frame? Budget for this is limited and I'm happy to shop at Aliexpress for carbon fibre parts.
I live in NYC. I sent Stijn Cycles a message wondering if he would build a bike for me. I wonder if he builds custom commissions. Also, how much does Stijn bikes weigh? .... I know. I'm a weight weenie.
There is nothing like it, he says. However, the Moulton variants, Bike Friday, the Pacific Reach, and now the Vello bike are all similar in many ways. And they all fold or separate!
Something special about mini velos, its nimble, smaller footprint, performs well with any handlebars and so cute looking.
Ok, i’m sold the minute he did his wheelie on the mini-velo.
Awesome video. Thanks for introducing us to this person. Loved the design and the ethos behind it
Thank you LD, glad you enjoyed it, and more coming soon!

I'll be there Saturday at the Bicycle Club booth, 4th floor entrance, come say hi if you're around ;-)
very cool bike! thanks for sharing my friend! i like the way he said" I like the feeling when everytime I refuse!"
Welcome!
Good video. Neat bike. Cool video. Good production values - especially the audio. Well done
i dont know why but these tiny bikes make me so happy
Woohoo. I didn’t think about BMX parts at all for some reason. I guess I thought the category has enough of its own bits. Great vid, cheers
Glad you enjoyed it ;-)
At 6'4" I wanted a large frame minivelo. I also wanted to ride buses and trains. Friend in Maine helped design a paratrooper with 20" wheels.
such a good project and nice guy
OMG! Stunning bikes!
7:36 Crankset 42T & Sprocket 9-46T, is that I'm right ?
Yep.
@@crankpunkrides5434 What is the frame material, Chromoly, Hi-ten or Alloy
Maybe check their website?

What brand and size tyres are on the yellow bike? As the tyres on the purple one seem wider.

Did he reply yet?
@@crankpunkrides5434 No, I'm still waiting. I sent the message this morning. I hope he's still building bikes. Not sure if he is.
If he's not in touch by tomorrow let me know @@davidhunternyc1
The question I have is, why not just get a Tyrell?
I've just googled what that bike is and it looks horrible. Don't ever mention that bike ever again
i love my gios panto 💪

Thanks for your comment Robert, I'll have to see if I can get one of those for a test ;-)
A true dude. But Re. the DNA, why no mention of Moulton?
Stijn's choice, focus on the new and not the old!
