What a ride! Didn’t know what you’d have coming into CX but to be only 30 seconds back given your start row was immense..and the jersey is class so props to 777 .. I’m now assuming unless something really strange is going on that you’re heading for Alpecin/ Fenix ..with Sam, Puck, Ceylin and MVDP as part of their multi disciplinary roster..hope so anyway ..

Obviously you have the talent. But it would be nothing without the persistence, hard work, and belief in yourself through the hard times and setbacks. And your joy and appreciation of the sport. Manage to see the race the other day you had a great race as you were well back just after the start and you did very well to move up and get 5th as it was a fast race you were only 35 sec back at finish I think which was really good considering the guy that won👍👍 Great start for you
So many parallels with TP. I don't want to draw too close a comparison because you are your own racer but the fight through the grid is at the same time painful and beautiful to watch. Such skill and effort but so many matches burned. Bring on the better grids!
Absolutely no parallels between the two. Tom was a superstar in the junior ranks, nurtured from day 1, his crazy talent got him everything, right away. Cam has had fight to get noticed because of Tom and the two Ben's. It's been a gradual grind where Cam's work ethic and commitment have been as important as his talent. His road to that Jersey and future WC wins is even more impressive than Toms, in my eyes.
A result isn't always the result that could have been with proper gridding and a solid race with no issues.... that being said, if you were gridded higher up, you obviously would've been on Podium. You are gonna be on it this year. Can't wait to see more.
Really, those stripes are worth a minute? Pidcock was fast in FRUIT OF THE LOOM t-shirt. I don't think those stripes helped Ian or Roger one bit. When Cam wins a world championship it won't be because GB cycling did anything special got him.
