    Sorry Gwen, we must agree with Pat on this one...mix the veggies in...and the egg too! But no, Pat, I cannot cook like this and so I went and married a guy who can cook like you! He's even been going out on some bike rides with me during quarantine. :D Aren't we blessed girls, Gwen! Trust you're all hanging in there and staying positive. Thanks SO much for these vids that take my mind off of the agony as I do my pre-bedtime foam rolling torture routine. Prayers, Megan R. (and Mike, too)

    So basically decomposed veggie egg fried rice bento box style! - my go to for leftover rice next day but you gotta mix it up! An alternative to give you a bit of time during the process to make Stans hot cocoa. Sweet potato, courgette, mushrooms, greens etc all seasoned in cumin onto a tray and oven for 20 mins. Meanwhile 200g couscous, 300ml stock with amino into a bowl, towel over it. Veggies out into the bowl and mix everything. Eggs on top.. boom! (poach your own runny eggs and add chorizo for yours when she is gone!)

    Mat, great job, almost like a Chinese doing it. One suggestion that change the container to glass or something else; the plastic ones not suitable for hot food.

    Are you using sushi rice vinegar which is sweetened or just plain rice vinegar? The omelette looked great, but you could have given it an extra fold.

    Seems like there's only about 15 grams protein in that lunch. Do you take a separate protein supplement after your workouts?

    • @GwenJorgensen
      @GwenJorgensen  4 роки тому +2

      I also have collegen but there are more than 20g of protein in this meal and if you use the calculation of weight per gram I’m getting in necessary amount of protein (.15 x BW). Carbs are often overlooked in post workout recovery and more important. Many ways to do this but can do BM x intensity x time

    Using olive oil in Chinese cooking is blasphemy 🤣. Just use vegetable oil, which is neutral in taste and won’t make things taste like Italian food. 😂 Has your husband read SaltFatAcidHeat - that has good pointers one what types of oil to use with what cuisines, and is overall a great book about the central tenants of cooking for anyone who loves food (cooking or eating it).
