Enjoyed you posting this, thank you! From 2:02-2:10 there are some catalog errors that escaped the Matchbox editors: (1) #53 Mercedes-Benz 220 shown was not issued in 1968, issued about 1963, (2) #55 in 1968 should be Mercury Park LANE police car, (3) #57 Chevrolet Impala (replica of a 1959 Impala in two-tone blue) was issued much earlier than 1966 by three, or four years.
by 1982, Matchbox by then had purged their unrealistic/fantasy cars from their lineup that they stupidly, (imo) started incorporating into the 1-75 series in 1970, apparently to copy their new competitors from Hotwheels, and Johnny Lightning. They should have (imo), by this time, 1982-83,updated their models of yesteryear making models of 1950's, and 1960's cars, imo, they would had broadened the appeal to their audience.
