Thank you for this video. Did mine today and it was harder than I thought. Lots of tiny spaces. Took me like 3 hours. Was really careful not to drop any small pieces down the engine bay but I lost one hose clamp nonetheless. Fuel filter would not come off with my bare hands and I did not have my dedicated filter off-tool with me so I took a large nail and hammered it through the filter and then took a basic tension strap and attached it to the nail head to give me more POWER!
I agree, the issue is being extra careful about not letting stuff fall down the engine bay, because the space is very tight (I myself dropped two nuts from the fuel filter, a clip from the air filter box, and the 12mm deep socket... talk about butter fingers... I was effing and blinding. I had to remove the left front wheel to be able to rescue these few bits and pieces with the help of a telescoping magnet). Otherwise the job is easy enough. My main worry before starting was how to release the pressure in the fuel lines. I was hoping that removing the fuel pump relay and then starting the car would do the trick (the car should choke after this, but guess what, the car still starts with the relay out!?) In the end, I said "eff it" and removed the filter: very little fuel came out of the in and out fuel lines (great). The in and out fuel lines can be a bit fiddly to disconnect (especially the orange one), but they do come out in the end (don't force them, just wiggle them a bit while pressing the buttons, you may also have to pull out a little lid in the orange one). Than you "The fixer" for your video, it has been very helpful!
Top job thanks for info . did yesterday only thing is i lost the orange pipe retaining clip of one of the pipes . searched the web . cant seem to find the correct one . car seems fine without but would like to replace any advice cheers
How do you get the thing out? I can't get to the bolt on the lower right and the lower left is near imossible to get off. Why do they make it so hard to get at!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am having issues with my Kia Ceed 11reg. It is taking about 4 seconds for revs to kick inx limits revs to 3000 after about 20 minutes, especially in hot weather. Looking at forums it says there are 2 types of fuel filter and i may havr the wrong one, any thoughts ot links to the correct filter that should be used?
If there are two types and both look the same then just try both, if they are different just get the anew one that looks exactly like the old one. Also make sure you bleed the system after installing new pump to make sure there is there no air in the system.
Merci le gros raccord plastique du filtre à air n'a pas besoin d'étre démonté il faut juste retiré la boite à air pour lui donné de la souplesse et surtout n'inverser pas le sens du tuyau des freins il y a un anti retour dedans.

orange clip was a bit of a devil for me too, I would expect you could get it in a Kia dealer. good luck

Nothing easy on modern cars, sometimes you need to remove other components to access where you need to be.
