I moved from Pennsylvania to south Florida 14 years ago and I don't miss the cold, snow and ice one bit. Stay warm Chelsea!
We just have to worry about the rainy season 😭😭😭 and hurricanes I'm in SWFL and couldn't wait to wash my car after IAN .
Love the clamps!! Awesome tips!
That one was for you!
Living in WPA, I feel ur pain. I can deal w/40° weather, it's when it's close to 32°. Plus I go by if the roads are dry. Timing is of the essence. I have to use a self wash car wash that complicates even more. And I refuse auto car washes. Ur little, Chelsea, washn those big trucks. U always do an awesome job! Happy New Year! 👍
That blue is gorgeous. Hose clamp for an aquarium, very creative!
I live in Michigan so I fully understand what it's like to detail in Winter. Great tips, and showcasing of the tools you use. You are sporting a likeness of Jason Otterman of Chicago Auto Pros and CSW.
I live in Tampa so the winter thing --- well enough said -- gorgeous truck, gorgeous job...
Finally a video that addresses how i feel when detailing in the winter. IT IS BRUTAL and clients have to understand the circumstances of waiting so late in the year. Especially when i have sent out the newsletters saying when the best time to detail your car is. The temperature can be 43 degrees outside which is tolerable for me but then the tricky part is the real feel which could be 36 degrees. Clients are annoyed the most at this but should but more understanding. Also if you are using any aerosol products that spray from a can, they start to leak and not perform as expected because the low temperatures affect a lot of things.
Nice video
Thank you for the information
Keep it coming
Love that mitt on a stick! Thank you for this video for those of us up north 🥶
Keep it up 20k.Thank you for sharing your expertise.🇨🇦
Fantastic tips Chelsea and congratulations to coming up to 20k. I am blessed to have a heated garage and floor drain, and believe me you need this in Canada. 🥶 keep up the great videos!! 👍🇨🇦
I’m in southern CT, similar weather to PA, it’s not the most ideal! But washing Salt and sand makes for some good transformations! I’d love one of those sweatshirts too!
Thank you for suggesting the winter work gloves. I ordered them on Amazon tried them out Sunday hands stayed dry and warm after doing a rinseless wash on 3 vehicles in Michigan.
That’s great!
I was thinking about using next door...and as far as winter time...this past winter here in Maryland was pretty mild so we were able to detail most of the winter and not freeze to death. I wish we had a shop or garage to detail out of..but we are mobile that's what most people love about us the most.
Awesome video!! 👍 Big blue looks amazing, keep up the great work. Love Koch chemie products. God bless all detailers. Hope you get 20k+ 🙏
Great video! Super informative and excellent work. I love that it doesn’t feel rushed but also isn’t sugar coated. Subscribed!
Thank you!
Thank you for this video. I’m from Massachusetts and I’m looking for ways to stay busy in winter. I just subscribed to the channel. Learning a lot (I’m a beginner)
Welcome!
Wow Lancaster Pa?? I sometimes deliver brand new trucks to hunter Peterbilt on Manheim Pike but I detail when I'm home but Love The video 👏🏾👏🏾
thanks for all the tips on those little products that make it easier. I just bought the gentle wheel cleaner and haven't used it yet so it was nice to see how good of a job it did. I also got the tire & rubber rejuvenator and did use that and like it quite a bit. I am just a hobbyist but as my wife says I am "addicted" to detailing.
You're a natural behind the camera.
Excellent video,I just started to follow you and you have become my favorite detailer, I show my wife about a women doing detailing and she was like OMG 😱 I guess i could do it also, we live in Indiana and it’s hard with this winter but I still have my regular job as a truck driver, looking in moving to Houston in April to start doing it full time, thank you chelsea for all your great tip & may god keep blessing you with god health and top notch talent beside what you have. 💯💯💯
Yes she can!
@@attention2detailswchelsea That gets a big hell yeah!!
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood for Big Blue.
Milwaukee Heated Jackets And Hoodies Are Amazing. They Also Make Heated Gloves As Well. Also If You Get The Rechargeable Hand Warmers You Can Drop Them In You’re Boots😉 Hope This Helps
I work outside…rain…snow…cold and I do it in shorts…I’m in and out of a truck all day(fancy delivery company) and I love the winter time….but hands in cold water…nope.
Diggin the sweatshirt, but would've guessed it was a Robertson.... :)
I’m honestly moving from Florida to Washington state in 1 or 2 month so I’m gonna start my detailing business up there
Hello! From Prince Edward Island Canada. Yes, I know winter.
I appreciate you! Attention 2 Details caught my eye!! Female in male field, why not right!!! Female mechanics in Seal Beach, CA yeah!! Keep up great work and advice..
Another excellent video. You’re quickly becoming my favorite detail channel on UA-cam. Question: have you ever considered renovating your garage to be able to wash vehicles?
Our walls are wood and there’s no way to run plumbing in as it’s on a slab attachment so no dice. Even to put a drain in would be THOUSANDS.
I like your wet summer's because it keeps everything nice and green,
Dry and dusty here in my Island state of Tasmania.
Thank you!
Chicago Auto Pro’s hoodie 👍. Nice
I don’t envy you doing a detail in the cold brrrrr. With regards to long term protection would you do a clay of any kind or just go with a light to medium chemical decontamination?
Great video.
Thanks!
That's definitely cold but I'd take those conditions any day here in Utah.
I'm also assuming this was filmed a bit ago so it's likely been worse than the video makes it look.
But I'm not even thinking about the detailing aspect of it, I would absolutely love to just see the sun and a road without snow piled up at this point.
Every.Single.Winter. I say we're moving and I won't spend another winter in Utah because it's just so dark and cold and wet and depressing. Yet Winter keeps coming and I keep staying. Really really wishing we would have been smart enough to sell our house last fall when the real estate boom was still in full swing and rates were still low. We likely could have paid for 3/4 of a new place in Georgia or Texas or something and still had money left over.
Hang in there!
I live in Wisconsin. Any tips for someone who prays for weather that's up to 45 deg? Some winters we're lucky if it gets up above 0 for a month at a time.
Great tip on the pole attached mitt! I just picked up a 5L jug of Bilt Hamber Auto Foam after many good reviews. Do you have any experience with that vs Koch Chemie? I got mine for $36
Hi Chelsea ..What type of air conditioner do you have in ur garage ..Iam looking for one for my garage for Colorado winters
Hi Chelsea I hope you are well yup are so lucky still you doing very well detailing job in the winter here in Canada I can do many detailing work in my cars (2) I want to ask you where did you get the creeper metal seat I have saw in the video especially to clean the roof thank you Best wishes.
It’s a Gorilla ladder. Best time to get them is Black Friday at Home Depot. Mine was like $69 amzn.to/3iwBrNw
Thank you
Another great video Chelsea it was full of great tips and knowledge. Hope you and your family have a great 2023.
Thank god for garages and hot rinse-less washes.
Gotta love the sweatshirt, would look good in a xxl.
😉
What mini splint unit do have in your garage? You deserve 20K of subscribers and more since your so genuine and generous on helping people.
It’s a Rheem unit I believe. 1 ton if I remember correctly but my husband would be the better one to ask
A pipefitter buddy of mine installed a spigot inside my garage for only like 100 bucks. It was easily the best investment I have never made.!!!
Unfortunately I would have to go beneath my slab floor to get access to it and it would be thousands and for me with rinseless washes being so effective not worth it. But that’s awesome it worked out so well for you!
@@attention2detailswchelsea gotcha!! I saw that you mentioned that in the video ...keep up the great work!
Good job
So many fantastic tips, for both the hobbyist (like myself) and for pros. I appreciate the detailed list of the tools and supplies you use. Question: on this truck there are the big FX4 decals (I'm guessing) on the side. Are these under the clear coat and you can polish lightly over them, or do you need to polish around them?
Most decals you can polish over. It’s excess speed or sitting on it with a rotary you should avoid.
Mitt on a Stick is gonna be my next purchase. And maybe another #100 of propane for the furnace in the garage. Lol.
Like the Smurf150. 2 acres of coverage.
is koch planning to have smaller sizes for those soaps? as a enthusiast that would last me forever..good vid...
Not that I’ve heard but it’s worth it and will keep
I'm in Maryland as a mobile detailer without a garage I don't think it would be wise to try to polish or coat under 50 degrees, correct? Using rinseless wash on customers at their homes because don't know if they have frost proof spigots.Good information though thanks.
Yes it’s not really recommended below 59 but some have done it as low as 40/45 but it may be difficult to work with at that low of a temp
Hi Chelsea. love your video. Cool sweatshirt
Darrell what size are you? You are the randomly drawn winner!!
Message me your address and we can get that sent to you
Just stumbled over your channel and have 3 hours invested in you so far and LOVING IT! So great to see a sister rockin' a predom male niche! I'm two years into owning my baby, an '18 MX5 RT. She has the Soul Red Chrystal, which is gorgeous..but brittle and fussy. She's my daily driver in PA (Easton area)so keeping her nice is a job in the winter. Thanks for all your great winter tips! Ps. AWESOME sweatshirt-put me down for one!
Ps. I've only water washed my car 1x in two years -do you think using waterless wash products that often creates issues?
Sometimes they aren’t AS effective at removing road film and if the car is super dirty they don’t offer enough lubrication to be gentle on the paint. But if you do it often enough and only on a light layer of dust it should be fine but when it warms up might recommend a good wash with Carpro Reset and clay bar treatment if the paint is gritty and the apply protection
Hey Chelsea.. I'm in NJ so I experience a similar climate to yours. Can you give me more info or a link on that ac/heat device you have in your garage? My little electric space heater is costing me a fortune in electric bills. Thx.. I truly identify with working in a warm garage!
This is the brand my husband installed. ductlessbryant.com/?Ductless+Heating+Systems&Cj0KCQiA_P6dBhD1ARIsAAGI7HD7DjU1PyT2XzT8q23JJgHuhnwLaeVkyJXS_ViNsAyHbGYuMsaIOm0aAvJmEALw_wcB-cat9023620-kbryant%20ductless%20heat%20pump-mod
@@attention2detailswchelsea Thank you!!
How is the newer Honda paint? Just purchased a 2023 in Urban Gray Pearl and wondering how it will hold up compared to other manufacturers...
Honda is typically soft but not that finicky. Corrects pretty easily
@@attention2detailswchelsea Thanks!

Woman you should be putting in the effort and energy into making me a sandwich instead of playing around outside with water
😂
Turned out amazing ..thanks for all the tips and tricks 🫶
My pleasure 😊
Great idea with those clamps for the wheel brushes I never know where to dry them out where can I buy those, also how low of temperature can you wash outside? I have similar set up trying to see if I am able to get faucet inside garage but still not sure how cold I could really be out there to wash anything without any issues or freezing ?
And if using rinseless etc how can I keep big puddles off my floor
I put the link the the brush holder in the video description. As far as puddles I have a painted epoxy floor so it’s easy to clean and I use the Autofiber mop to clean up and the rinseless wash actually helps clean the floor when I mop with it. www.autofiber.com/products/shop-mop-microfiber-mop-for-epoxy-concrete-or-garage-tiles?_pos=1&_sid=14fa63760&_ss=r
@@attention2detailswchelsea that mop looks great to clean my floor ! How do you use it can you dip it into a 5 gallon bucket or is it too wide ? Thanks !
