Great stuff. I still don’t understand why it’s not commercially possible to fit sound to the smaller loco’s. A bit frustrating tbh.

The Bluetooth bit added on and a tight squeeze on chips around lockdown put more limited options on the table so, being harder to source, design, test and get out I think?

Great job thank you I have ordered insulated fish plates today. Getting ready for I train and block detection.
Planning for the show exhibition circuit reduce in the number of operators required automatic running.

@StevenTT120Layout Go Steven Go 👍. Who knows what the app will be doing in 5 years but, yeah I’m already iTrain bound at present 🎁

Announcements about as I expected. Seems they are keeping their cards close to their chest on a lot of the medium term. Though I do like that almost all will be available this year (Autumn) apart from the class 37 tease which is 12-18 months to delivery (according to Q&A).
Not sure about slick though - someone at Hornby can't tell difference between early & late BR emblems on the J50. Still not quite sure whether I pre-order early or late from Rails, but I'll clarify in a day or 2 once the dust has settled.

Yes, slight mix up with J50 descriptions on two. They being mixed up on website. My Q regarding sound never got addressed but, unless they can get the decoder size down a bit, it’s the Dremel or a Zimo. Get a feeling they may be working on something with an included power bank 🏦

I think George HM700 guy looked a little defensive & frustrated when asked about 6 pin decoders. But sound in the 0-6-0 locos is reason I am going for dcc control station. But not decided yet on Elite, Z21 (price a bit high) or new Gaugemaster Infinity.@@modeloco

@justinclayton3022 If you don’t want block detection I’d go Elite

@@modelocothey are having trouble getting the chips for the non-sound HM7000 6 pin so I doubt a sound version is coming anytime soon. I think the current date on the non-sound one may be in jeopardy. I’ll probably go with a non-Bluetooth one and use my Bluetooth dongle like you indicated

@@damianinCanadaTT-OO Yes, it would seem so. Ironically, out of all the TT locos I have, would say, the 0-6-0’s are the ones that benefit most from any power bank. Again that’s all possible but, as far as I could see, left the smaller pronged cylindrical Zimo one off, included, due to space available, as I didn’t want to alter the body shell or remove the decoder tray inside at that time. May look at that again once all my points and crossings are fully frog wired in

Thanks for confirming that there is a front coupling on the J50s - I missed that skipping through the Q+A after it finished
