How to make miniature tins with lids from paper

- Very easy DIY, how to make cans and tins with lids from paper in every (miniature) size, needed for every dollhouse kitchen- or just to boost your serotonine ; )
EDIT: It's very easy to roll the lid, if you fix that stripe of cardboard with a rubberband! (if you're not a person, who is too lazy to go in to pick up one🙄)
Music by Geoff Harvey ( Icecream today, icecream tomorrow) from Pixabay. Thank you!

Thanks for every pleasing comment, really motivates me to go on! 😊
I'm always very disapointed, how bad the quality of the videos comes out after the upload- but to use free tools for the editing is my only possibility to share it with you!
I'm looking so clumsy while making the tins, because it was so sunny, that the white paper and the scissor totaly dazzle me!😅
I'm sorry, I've seen, there's a commercial now at the beginning of the video- I didn't switch advertising, I want my videos commercial-free, and I'm sad about it😔..
Second edit: I'm still not sure, if I'm working with "a strip" or "a stripe" of paper- but you know, what I mean..😉
Thanks for your support,
sunny regards,
Chris
I was born speaking other languages. And I had to learn English because I live in the US. I always found very difficult to speak and to read so don’t worry I read it both way and try to figure out what you’re saying. I don’t use sound on the videos Because too many people use crappy music. Your background sounds good, but I’m used to the quiet.
Strip and stripe are pretty much the same. Don’t worry, just do it produce some products will follow. 🫧
@@rejn1420 Thank you! In the first part the song came only from a bird in the tree (Blackbird?), I didn't want to cover it with other music! I always keep attention, that the music is relaxing, because that makes a lot of the athmosphere in a video!
Beautiful video full of nature and darling tins.😊❤
A cat whisker, toothpick, pin, all good for drawing/painting if you want to call it that. In the basement of old houses with crumbly brick foundations you can find brick dust. It mixes wonderfully with everything and comes in shades of brickness. ☄️
BEAUTIFUL tutorial ☝🏽🤩 You can simulate rust by adding cinnamon. It's a very easy way !
Thanks for sharing 🙏🏾 LOVE from Spain 💃🏽
Gracias! 🙃I got the cinnamon tip just a few hours before today- never heard before, sounds like a great idea!! Saludos desde el sur de Alemania!
Super cute. Thanks Chris ❤🕊
Really cute!! I can see screwing in an eye screw at the top and dangling them from a journal spine with little notes inside!!💕
That's such a cute idea!! 😍
Oh my gosh! They are beautiful!❤ Salt Lake City, Utah
That is so beautiful with the birds call
Hello from Washington State! Even though it is 1:30 A.M I am running around the house gathering things to make these tins RIGHT NOW! I LOVE THEM!! Wonderful tip using a little piece of cardboard while making the lid for a not to tight fit. Great idea decorating with washi tape and nail art, I would have never thought of that. Excited to watch your other videos, you are also really funny. I totally agree with other commenters that even though your channel is new, it won't be long before you have many, many subscribers.
Thank you very much! : )
Peaceful nighttime is perfect for being creative undisturbed!
In the edit I wrote, it's much easier, if you fix the little spacer-cardboard with a rubber band (I was too lazy to go in to get one...)
I hope, yours came out well!?
Best regards from Germany- where it is 1:30 am NOW ; )
Very lovely! Thanks a lot and congratulations🙏🏼👏💖
You're making my creative juices flow in my brain. Thanks for this timely video tutorial.
😅👍🧠
Very smart & clever of you‼️ Your video came out great! Thanks for sharing your creations with us❣️
i really love these, have got to make some for the secondhand store i'm planning. don't fret, the video quality was fine!
Sooo cute. I'm looking forward to trying these with my 10 year old granddaughter.
How nice! 😃If you make them bigger than my "big" one please use a longer stripe of paper, that it's still stable! 🙃
The bird calls are wonderful.
🙂🐦
Wonderful so authentic thankyou 🥰
I love your little tins, and your videos are so beautiful and also make me laugh :) Thank you for making another one!
Thank you! ☺I try to upload new videos much faster, but at the moment I have less time, makes me sad- so I'm very lucky about pleasing comments!!🌸
What a lovely video!
Quick yet detailed.
Simple clear instructions.
Good up close recording.
A lil insight into where you're from.
And the whole setting was tranquil, calming, natural and very pretty!
For a channel that is so new, (I'm guessing by your low subscriber total at the moment) this was an exceptional video from a newbie! Truly, wonderfully staged and so pretty, excellent recording quality and perfect editing! Just that was impressive, let alone the adorable lil tins - which is what I clicked for initially obviously. I actually liked that washi tape of the lid that you used for a line guide. The flowers against the black gave it a very "Folk Art" painting on enamel, kind of look. But the turquoise with the hand painted blossoms is my favourite.
These could be made with scrapbook paper too and then clear glossed on top...but you've given me ideas now, for black enamelled kitchenware with bright roses on, very folk art styled, I think they would be lovely in my doll's house renovation. 😁
I've subscribed. I've no doubt your subscribers will soon be in their thousands! Well done. 😘 xxxxx
Thanks so much! ☺I'm always sad, how the quality of the video comes out after uploading, so I'm very happy, when you still like it! Yes, I'm a totally newbie, so my learning curve goes steep uphill with each video!😂 I lovelovelove enamel kitchenware (want them for my own kitchen...)! After finishing the video I gave the black ones another very glossy finish, that they are looking very japanese now! Thanks for your encouraging words! Best regards, Chris🌸💮
Bonjour, bonne vie. Ça fait du bien quand c'est reposant [sud de la France]

Thank you!- the first completely without mouse or dogs😉
A fun tutorial and will be giving them a try. Liked the rust idea too. Now! Is dark white legs a level up from pure white legs. haha love it. Thank you.
Cute little tins. Your plants look lovely and the bird song is beautiful to hear. My strawberries are not as big as yours, but they're doing well 🍓. I have subscribed. Good evening from a drizzly England 😊
Thank you! : ) I have the feeling, my strawberries are even miniatures....( perhaps because Hamburg has more rainy days than London.. : / )
@@supertinywhimsilistic 😄I'm not sure about that. It has been pouring down with rain since yesterday afternoon. Me and the plants need some sunshine 🌞😃
@@cat-mum-Jules Oh, and I have wondered, where our rain has gone...now it's yours!🤔I wish you lots of sunny days! 🌞
These are so cute! Great tutorial, and setting them on a tile at the end is a perfect display. Just subbed, looking forward to whatever you're making next.
Those are so cute! I have done little books so now I can try adding little tins! Thx!
I love it.

I smashed the Like & Subscribe buttons, so quickly. 😻
🤗💙👍( I always hope, that I don't send too much self-imagined fantasy-english to the world...🙄)
I seen one of those boxes on RichMiniatures channel but I think it was a hat box.. close to what you are making. I think I could make this 😊 Thanks for sharing ❤
I checked out his nice channel- seems to me, that he builds whole houses, not such knickknacks?😅There are even videos, how to make mugs from paper- but I havn't seen the technic with lids, so I wanted to share it🙂
@@supertinywhimsilistic
He was gifted hat boxes from a viewer and I said to myself I would like to know how they were made.. your video shows up. Sorry I didn’t mean to mislead anyone 😬
@@denisebutcher7717 I was lucky to get to know a new channel! And I'm sure, you can make them!🙂
I love these!
Schöne Grüße aus Kanada! 🇨🇦 Habe dich heute hier in YT entdeckt und bin total begeistert! Die Dosen sind schön. Ich habe viele Jahren in Altona gewohnt, und sehe du wohnst in St Pauli…wollte gerne Hallo sagen! 🌺🌸🌼🌻🌞
❤❤❤
Já me inscrevi no seu canal ❤❤❤
Obrigada ☺
Dirty Down Rust has a yellow color that works really well too. (It doesn’t really come out yellow but more of a lighter orange rust than the original.)
Thank you! That sounds great- and is even available in Germany ( not as a lot of interesting products, I've seen on YT 😞), but it's sooo expensive! 😳- nothing for a poor person, who must make her tins out of paper! 😂(got mine as a special offer, so I gave it a try 😉)
@@supertinywhimsilistic the best innovation always comes from making due with what you have. You’re doing a marvelous job!
🙏🏻✨👏🏻💝
You can use cinnamon for a rusty look ( with little glue)
Sounds like a great idea, I will try!👍(I use Oregano and Thyme for making terrain, so back to my spicerack😆)
May I post this video to my Pinterest board? It links directly to the video and I do not claim any credit for any of the video.😊
Yes, of course, it would be my pleasure! 🙂
Thank you.😊
So beautiful!! I love your crafts!!
I build miniature houses with recycled materials on my channel, I would be happy to know what you think about them❤️🌸
Hello Ari! Thank you! Your houses are very cute and so easy to rework! I love upcycling, I wish, more creators would use recycled materials! How are you able to produce so many videos in such a short time?! 😳Most I like the candy house! 😃 Good luck with your new channel!
@supertinywhimsilistic
Hello! Thank you very much for your reply and attention.❤️
I am glad that you are interested in recycling materials. It is enjoyable and fun for me, although it is a bit difficult to produce. I have realized that I have made many videos , I hope they will be seen.☺️ I hope you will be successful in your channel, and thank you again🌸❤️
