When I saw this on it's release at the Grandlake Theater in Oakland, where Dolby labs used to screentest their gear or so I heard, I was so blown away by the imaging and vibrance of the recording that I noted Shawn's name and since then have had a 98% success rate in identifying his work by ear. One of his 'tricks' he shared was a love of ribbon mics and a specially tailored mid mic with a more omni response in the lows...you can hear that! Also he prefers to bypass the board!
Yes, indeed, Pardner! This soundtrack--and the movie (especially the, "Come and get me, come and get me, come and get me," scene) always makes me want to run out to the Sierra Nevada (we live near the base of that great mountain range here in Carson City, northern Nevada) and seek out my own "Curly's Gold." Yeah!
I'm glad there are people out there who love this film soundtrack as much as I do.

Terrific soundtrack! Thanks for posting this. It's one of my "favorites," and you can bet that I'll play it, over and over again, whenever I'm down.
For a comedy, this is seriously an amazing movie score-awesome.
Do my ears deceive me or is that part of the Magnificent Seven theme at 7:30.... Music fills the soul !
I love this music.
I adore this movie

5:27 sounds like “Live from New York! It’s Saturday Night!!”
Severly underrated soundtrack and artist.
One of my favorite movies, love when it breaks down at 7:35
And right before that is a nice nod to the Magnificent Seven score.
0:25- 0:45 Magnificent. Thank Christ for Mr Shaiman.
