Toning Hair Bumping The Base And Blending Grey Hair All In One Step 😱

  • In this weeks episode we look at one technique that does it all! tone hair, lift hair, deposit and blend grey it it is one of my favourite techniques! it’s not something that I’ve never talked about before, I have talked about these techniques individually but never as an all in one technique. to create beautifully blended highlights diffused natural grey hair and lift the base simultaneously I hope you find this very very useful in the future and I would love to know in the comment section have you ever tried a technique like this before.

Hi James! Your videos are awesome, ty for sharing! Do you have a rule of thumb, or a guide, for the base break formula? For instance.. level 4/5 - level 8 base break.. level 5/6 - 9 base break? I apologize ahead for my question, I’m very technical and I tend to ask to many questions! Lol

Love this James how long did you leave the toner on for?

  • @joanangel5283

I usually do what I was trained was foil & flood. Foils in then cover roots. And at the wash out wet slightly and mash the base colour over highlights give a minute or 2. Then wash it all. And the highlights been toned. Good for root 7 and up.

Awesome Video. Would you please start adding the fornula you used to tone in the person in the video. I know it may be different for each person but it still would be helpful. Thanks for all you do and all your AWESOME videos. You are a Guru and a Master at your art! :)

how will you do the new growth would you just do the base break at like 6wk and then bleach foil with base break at 12 wks? Oh also what vol is used with the color a 10 or 20, do you need to leave it on or very quickly apply and wash? Beautiful results!

It took way too long to get to the point in this video, and then when you finally did I missed the details because my brain went to sleep. It doesn't change my love for you, James. You're one of my favorite UA-camrs. This has invaluable information in it, I think I just need to be a little more alert and awake when I watch it next time.

Excellent video. Very informative. Toners are not easily available here in South Africa. We have to depend on what comes in the box dye kit. Two questions please: would you say it's better to apply hair color to damp hair? Would love to know why it's called a "money piece"?

This yellow/orange is exactly the same highlights I have. Literally just had my hair highlighted yesterday and she never toned the hair. Literal bleach, wash and dry. Like wtf
