Toning Hair Bumping The Base And Blending Grey Hair All In One Step 😱
Вставка
- Опубліковано 30 вер 2024
- In this weeks episode we look at one technique that does it all! tone hair, lift hair, deposit and blend grey it it is one of my favourite techniques! it’s not something that I’ve never talked about before, I have talked about these techniques individually but never as an all in one technique. to create beautifully blended highlights diffused natural grey hair and lift the base simultaneously I hope you find this very very useful in the future and I would love to know in the comment section have you ever tried a technique like this before.

Hi James! Your videos are awesome, ty for sharing! Do you have a rule of thumb, or a guide, for the base break formula? For instance.. level 4/5 - level 8 base break.. level 5/6 - 9 base break? I apologize ahead for my question, I’m very technical and I tend to ask to many questions! Lol
Love this James how long did you leave the toner on for?
I usually do what I was trained was foil & flood. Foils in then cover roots. And at the wash out wet slightly and mash the base colour over highlights give a minute or 2. Then wash it all. And the highlights been toned. Good for root 7 and up.
Yes I too used to use that Technique
Awesome Video. Would you please start adding the fornula you used to tone in the person in the video. I know it may be different for each person but it still would be helpful. Thanks for all you do and all your AWESOME videos. You are a Guru and a Master at your art! :)
I heard him say he used a 9V permanent color for her bump and tone .. was there more that I missed ?
Can it be done for darker shades to blend grey hair?
how will you do the new growth would you just do the base break at like 6wk and then bleach foil with base break at 12 wks? Oh also what vol is used with the color a 10 or 20, do you need to leave it on or very quickly apply and wash? Beautiful results!
thanks! you just confirmed that what i wanted to do will work! What if you were to use 30 vol for the permanent colour?
Love this James , may I ask without sounding completely thick, did you section all the way through and apply the toner ? Lovely blend James thanks for sharing.. love your knowledge ❤️x
I was wondering the same thing!!!
Very useful technique ..can apply in salon Thanks James for sharing🙏❤
Wonderful Frieda glad you see the value in it
I love this!! It is something that I have been doing with great hair... since 1986!! 🤩🤩🤩
Cheers!
Don't know if its just me, but all the links are taking me to the Amazon home page & not to the actual products.
Already Tracy that is very interesting I’ll have to look into that thank you for notifying me
@@TheLifeOfHair Yes same for me as well.. Usually your links at least take me to UK amazon product, and then I just get the name of the item and look for it in the US amazon, but this video's links bring me to US amazon but just my home page there
Great! When adding the permanent toner would you use 10vol or 20?
This is fabulous! How long did you leave the colour to develop please?
Glad you liked it! 20 minutes for the development time 👍🏻
Did you use a different toner on the mid lengths and ends?
Great result, I need to find someone good with color!
Hi James.
Q... how long did you leave the toner/permanent colour on her before washing it off?
Tnx.
20 minutes
It took way too long to get to the point in this video, and then when you finally did I missed the details because my brain went to sleep. It doesn't change my love for you, James. You're one of my favorite UA-camrs. This has invaluable information in it, I think I just need to be a little more alert and awake when I watch it next time.
Sorry for waffling on Glad you got there in the end
Just noticed someone else asked same question.
Awesome mate.
Thanks bro 😎 ✌🏻
Excellent video. Very informative. Toners are not easily available here in South Africa. We have to depend on what comes in the box dye kit. Two questions please: would you say it's better to apply hair color to damp hair? Would love to know why it's called a "money piece"?
This yellow/orange is exactly the same highlights I have. Literally just had my hair highlighted yesterday and she never toned the hair. Literal bleach, wash and dry. Like wtf
Agreed I made kits of their hair color so they could stay with the same color line I continue to make and sell this kits 30.00 a piece even after lock down.
New blonde fan here, you are fantastic, thank you! ✨💐✨
Lovely, what volume did you use with the bleach? X
Thank you very much Marjory 20 volume
do you have any recommendations for reusable gloves that you can highlight with?:)

Great video James, love the way you approached the situation, saves time and it makes sense;-)
I love this. Did you use 2 parts 20 volume on the roots or 1:1?
