I love Vee's reaction. Her rivalry with Kvitova has always come down to a few points & she often let up & lost. But not in their last couple of meetings. Low key tho Kvitova is pissed & that makes the win sweeter

@@101poumi Even if Venus had apologized for the net cord, the result would have been the same = Kvitova losing. Obviously, she was pissed because she blew a set and 3-0 lead against Venus, that's definitely more upsetting than an opponent not apologizing for a net cord 😂. BTW, Kvitova is no example of "good sportsmanship" herself, there are NUMEROUS times she's been called out for her lack of sportsmanship.

Venus and Petra played 7 times iirc and *all of them* were 3 set matches with high quality of tennis.

@@eizyaws Probably that Asian American girl from WTA Insider. I like her podcasts and usually agree with her, but she definitely overlooked this one. But at least they put Venus v. Serena as #1, even though their matches were not always the best quality---the improbable accomplishment for two sisters to get there fighting for slams is reason that rivalry will always be #1.

The only tournament of the year in which Venus believed in her backhand as better than her (powerful but more erratic) forehand. She should always believe so yet her backhand just went into nonexistent since 2012.

If you watch the 1st 4 set you'll get the impression that this was a run over by kvitova...... Williams won only 1 point (in the highlights ) yet their were 2 all on serve .
That could mean points were being decided by Venus errors, Kvitova errors or winners.

Venus plays so well against other power players. I feel like she gets in the groove and really starts to hit the ball. Hard to out hit her when she is on.
I HATE when commentators say “Vintage Venus”. Anyone who watched Venus in her prime knows this was maybe 60-70%. Still AMAZING but nothing compared to the real “Vintage Venus”.

What a comeback from a woman who used to be a moving wall. Venus's ball striking got better eventhough she has lost some of that incredible foot speed. So happy for her!

I commented on Kvitova's press conference after this loss. But mysteriously the video is no longer to be found on UA-cam. Anyway, in the interview Kvitova blamed EVERYTHING on her loss rather than acknowledge her much more decorated and famous opponent: a superstar who will undoubtedly be remembered, unlike Kvitova. I used to like Kvitova until that now deleted interview. Since then, I loathe and find her 'niceness' so utterly fake. She showed her true colours in that press conference: a pathetic bitter little loser who couldn't bear to admit that she's a nobody in comparison to the wonderfully gracious tennis superstar, Venus Williams.

We know what happened now. Williams kids were twins. One a male and one a female. Serena is the male and Venus is the female. Daddy Williams saw an opportunity here. Both grow up training to be tennis athletes . One is dressed as a girl and the other is a girl. Kid does not identify with gender and sees himself as sister to his sister. Some operation at an early age and the transition is complete. Look at the body differences between Venus and Serena. If twins then body size and shape should be the same. They ain't the same. No way. Just saying.

This is one of the dumbest things I've ever read. 1) There are plenty of baby photos of the SISTERS together, obviously they could never have been twins. 2) There is no surgery known to man that'll implant the womb of a woman into a male, it's not possible... Serena is a mother. 3) Have you seen Serena's body??! Nothing manly about her curves. 4) Athletes have to take physicals, drug tests, etcetera.. if she were a man, that secret would've been revealed a LOOOONNNG time ago.
