It says I need a chargeable credit card, will a debit card work for this as well?
I came back here to tell you brother that I watched your video took notes and implemented your instructions to the letter. Before I had a lot of apprehension of the process. But after following your instructions my application was approved in less than 24 hours. I was shocked… I expected at a minimum 48 hrs. I started the process about 2 pm on Wednesday; had my amazon video call within 5 minutes of pressing “submit”. and by the time I woke up this morning Thursday it had been approved before midnight Wednesday. Hey Dan, amazing video, and I joined your group! I believe this is correct, and open to your input on starting the account one way, but changing the legal entity later.
When you set up your new Amazon account, from your steps it looks like you can use a single-member LLC disregarded for your business name. On the tax interview, it would be in an individual name (not a business). But if I started the account in my own personal name or a DBA, and wanted to change to the same single-member LLC disregarded later, that appears to be an issue.
This comes up when I click on legal entity it goes right to the tax interview.
Again, later on, if I wanted to make a change from my personal name to an LLC name, It appears on the tax interview, I could NOT use a single-member LLC disregarded because when I answer the first question, I would answer an individual (not a business). Does this sound correct, or am I missing something?
I know if I set up the LLC would need to be taxed as an S corp or C corp to answer the question that it is a business, leading to the W-9. That would change the legal entity.
Separately, it appears you can change the store name to your LLC, which is not always a good idea I know vs. your brand name of your product if private label).
This comes up a lot when non-resident sellers want to change from a foreign entity to a U.S. entity on Amazon. Thanks for your input!!

Thank you for your video,I have just registered a seller account in Amazon USA following your video step by step, thank you once more, only want to remark that there were a few small changes, the bank account and tax info. are offered to complete at the end of the whole process of registration once your are verified, and the tax info is just a corresponding W8B or W9(for US residents) to sign electronically.Overall the same experience only 2-3 steps were cut out.

May I ask a few questions?
I've noticed that Mercury has stopped accepting PO boxes, registered agent addresses, virtual offices, or mail centers as the company address. This creates a discrepancy between the Business formation documents and the Bank Statement. How important is the matching of the address in the Bank Statement and the address in the certificate of incorporation for Amazon when registering an LLC entity account?
Am I correct in understanding that non-US residents have now lost the option to use Mercury bank for conducting business on Amazon?
Hi Dan, based on the initial explanation, does this mean that even if I live in a country outside the U.S., as long as I've established a U.S. company through some company registration agency, then I can use that U.S. company as my Business Information, while still using my actual residential address (non-U.S. region) as my Primary Contact Information? There's no requirement for these two to be consistent, meaning I could pass my residential address verification through a utility bill from a non-U.S. region, rather than using my U.S. company address, correct?

Hey Dan! If you have two different trademarks, can I set up two different Amazon store names to differentiate both trademark stores under one Amazon FBA account? Regarding the Tax interview section, I am opening an Amazon Seller's account with a Single-Member LLC and followed your instructions, however, now as Legal Entity Amazon shows my personal name instead of that of the LLC. Hi! Im from Argentina, I ve set up an LLC in WY. Got the amazon seller account aproved on December 15th. I shipped products for FBA and now the account is deactivated. They want proof of address of the business. Like you show in the expample Ive set up everything with my LLC information, so the place of business would be USA. For the address of the LLC I only have the bank statement and no utility bill. Ive contacted support and they told me to change my place of business to Argentina. Ive sent proof of address and the account is still inactive. The question is where should I set up the place of business if I live in Argentina and the LLC is in Wyoming, USA? Thanks in advance.
Hello! South African here. Are questions allowed on here? Understandable, if not. At step one - seller's information - after I've added my country of birth, country of citizenship, date of birth, country of issue, national ID + number, it asks me for . . . a date of expiry? South African national ID's don't expire... but I can't get to the next step without filling that part out. Any tips?

Hey Jay, yes I believe this is possible although I haven't done it that way. However the reverse is not true, I don't think you can sell on "Individual" plan with a company

Hi Dan, I have a question, I hope you can help me. 3 days ago, I received an email from Amazon that my payment method account has to be verified and I have read different people have the same issue. But the situation is the following, since the bank statement has the name of my LLC and the name in the deposit method on seller central has my personal name. Do you know how can I fix this issue? Since of course I cannot upload the bank statement since there will be an inconsistency between the holders' name. Any advice? Thanks Dan!
Hey romi, yes there has been a lot of this lately. These two should match so attempt to update the deposit method on SC to be your US LLC name (and address) exaclty as on the bank account statement. It's odd this was verified initially, perhaps you started as an individual and upgraded to a business (without upgrading the deposit account name). Worst case open a supprt case on SC and explain you've upgraded to running as an LLC and they can potentially update the details/add this as a new deposit method for verification.
Keep in mind the tax interview is separate to the above and should not confuse the above. If you have a single member LLC, then the above remains true HOWEVER in the tax interview, you may well put down your own personal name for tax purposes (but this has nothing to do with the above deposit methods).

Do I need an LLC to register? and if I’m understanding you correctly, are you saying that if I’m not living in the US then LLC is my only option and that registering as an individual is not an option?
Hey Van, you would reference the countries shown in the vid for North America, where SA is shown, that would indicate you could technically sign up as an individual or with a company based locally or abroad (I also know a seller who successfully signed up with a PTY LTD) HOWEVER my recommendation would be to do so with a company such as a US LLC in this case, especially from SA to avoid any hurdles and for other advantages. For example, SA has very limited support in terms of currency accounts such as OFX, WorldFirst etc. I recommend you watch the linked Setup Video for more on this.

I think that I will go the LLC route (was on the fence for months) my concern was your comment on registering as an individual is not recommended if not living in the country you wish to do business in. But as you said, to be on the safe side, I’ll go the LLC route 👍🏻

Amazons interface is so trash. First time I tried to join they had me in the European and Japanese market. That shouldn’t even be an option. Had to get my bank involved because they continued to take money from me even after shutting it down.

While creating my individual seller account should i use a phone number that hasn’t been used in any amazon transaction below? (in buyer accounts in different marketplaces). Also, a question on the credit card number that i use for charging 40 usd monthly fee. Should this be a card that has never been used in any amazon transaction (especially buying) before?
